NOW OPEN: The 10th DC at SM Megamall!

From its humble beginning back in the United States with its only mission of making a significant change in skateboard shoe style and elevating skateboarding performance to the highest level, DC, a global brand that has expanded now to men's, women's and kids' skateboarding and lifestyle shoes, apparel, outerwear and accessories such as bags, keychains, wallets and belts has now open its newest store in SM Megamall!

Located at the ground floor of SM Megamall Building A, this DC store is the 10th store of this world-renowned  brand. And with its commitment to give "street fashion" a higher and more exciting look, I'm sure that local action-sports enthusiasts who recognize the brand will flock to this spot here and enjoy the wide variety of cool apparels and designs that they can find.

In line with the upcoming Yuletide season, when I checked out the place last week, I had a great time looking out at every piece that they have on display - all pretty and perky for the coming Holiday Season.

From shorts, to hoodies, to T-shirts, to bags, to their ballcaps, belts and keychains, everything gave me this fashionable "street" feel, which can pull off a cool B-boy look.

And to complete the look, DC's high quality and innovative footwear were all on display for the guests to feast on and to go crazy about.

I have this little "Imelda" in me, so when I noticed how their shoes come in this very young and hype look, I can't help but to take pictures of them and get amazed as to how one was made specifically for the sports that we are into. They have tooooooooons of shoes for skateboarding, BMX, Rally, Motocross and even for surfing!

And for those who are after the signature style of their favorite street artists and musicians, DC in SM Megamall made sure that those kinds are also available on their store! I guess, that's just how DC proves how serious they are in helping and promoting the different kinds of sports that kids and kids-at-heart can enjoy.

I got a chance to meet some of the people who brought DC in the Philippines too, and I can't help but to be really thankful for them. For those who didn't know yet, DC is a subsidiary of Quiksilver, Inc., so having a world-class athlete and management team are kind of a household name to the brand.

There's Eugene Neri, the man behind Visioneri Landskate, which is a park in Talisay, Cebu. He and DC have been working together for quite sometime now promoting local action-sports. Would you believe that this guy is a dentist by profession?

I believe it is because of Eugene Neri why DC stores now carries Freedon Dolly skateboards. Hehe. I got a chance to touch and take a good look at them, and base from the texture and designs of the boards, I'd say that they all look stupendous! ^_^

Then, there's Atoy Llave, the man behind A-Toy Body Kits, is a champion of the Lateral Drift 2011 competition. Atoy is a DC ambassador and he is also the one behind the DC autos that you see on drift events. Actually, he designed them for DC and even his own drifting vehicles carries those DC logos. A true-blooded DC ambassador! ^_^

And because of these great Filipino artists and athletes that DC now made a design that embodies our being Filipino. And I'm sure that by the time people know about this new design, they'll immediately raid DC stores to get a hold of these Pilipinas designs.

I believe this the first time that DC made a design for a specific country. And I personally find it so great, and the designs, so wonderful! I just love it!

DC Megamall is located near the Julia Vargas entrance of the Upper Ground Level of Megamall A.

Congratulations, DC, on your 10th store!
