The Caveman is Back!

The critically acclaimed smash comedy stage play is back together with its one and only performer Joel Trinidad! And yes, I loved it from the beginning til the end!

Last week, I got a chance to catch the first show of the rerun of this one-man show, which tackled topics between man and woman.

I never expected the show to be that entertaining and informative. So I, despite of not being in a relationship (bitterness aside) would like to say that with all he thoughts and close-to-real-life scenarios discussed here, enjoyed it and considered the whole show an eye-opener one. And I don’t see any other stage actor can perform as funny and as spontaneous as Joel Trinidad was, so a big congratulations for a job well done, Joel!

That man was like a bomb on that stage! ^_^

I liked quite a lot of scenes from this show. I liked the idea on how he defined the illustrations on the set design. I liked how the stage felt so complete and full even if there’s only one character there. And I really liked how the stage, despite of it so Flintstone-y look, feels so up-to-date.

Though, I must point out that I don’t know nothing about the original stage play, I think that the Filipino cast and crew really did a good job executing and explaining the thoughts and ideas on this show. And I know that even gays can relate on those topics, that’s why I know for sure that everyone will surely have a great laugh watching this one.

So, if you wanna know the thoughts of man and woman, the negotiation and cooperation, the hunter and the gatherer, you can catch Defending the Caveman on May 20 and 21 at 8 o’clock in the evening at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, 4th Floor, RCBC Plaza, Makati City.

Feel the guilt and laugh about it!
