My Zsazsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal Experience!

I've read the book for almost 4 or 5 years ago, I think, and I'd still say that despite of being a non-comic book fan that I am, if there's one comic book that I've read and truly enjoyed it from cover to cover, that'll be Carlo Vergara's book. And even though I'm not as proud as anybody else for being gay, I will say that by the power of Geisha vested upon me by this book, I am gay and I love Zsazsa Zaturnnah!!!

Let me say thank first to my friend and officemate Danica Josephine for tagging me along and to Mama Jo for always giving us free tickets. I really, really appreciate that you support our love for theater despite of our shortcomings. ^_^

So, here, when I got a chance to see Zsazsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal just a while ago at the Tanghalang Batute of Cultural Center of the Philippines, I really had a fantabulous night!

I mean, how could you not have a fantabulous night? I saw the show for free with my good pal Danica Josephine. The last show tonight was starred by Eula Valdez as Zsazsa Zaturnnah (one of my favourite local artists) with her boyfriend and soon-to-be theater hit actor, Rocky Salumbides as Dodong, Eula's equally talented Pinky Amador who plays the leader of The Amazonistas, Queen Femina and Tuxqs Rutaquio who plays as Ada and a bunch of wonderfully multi-talented casts and crews... Truly, the return of Zsazsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal is one of the most watched rerun show in theater history here in our country, and I wouldn't mind watching it all over again, even by that time I'll pay for my ticket, because every act was honestly worthy to watch.

Eula Valdez really wowed me with her musical voice and her guts to wear that costume, Jonathan Tadion was my favourite the whole show - really, Rocky Salumbides was somehow good and have a good start in theater acting, Pinky Amador was as stunning as Eula and the rest of Tanghalang Pilipino artists was so fuckingly awesome! *middle child bows down*

I love the music, I love the choreography and mostly, I love stage design... Actually super laveeeet! ^_^

As for the show, I really enjoyed every scene... Every punchline and gay act that Nar gave out, I can't help but to laugh really hard making my cheekbones hurt. Hahaha! But my most favourite part of them all was the scene between Zsazsa/Ada and his/her dad... It was really touching (I can "somehow" relate to it), and even the song number that they performed - I liked it, super!

I really had a great night and I know that the rest of the audience did too because of the standing ovation they gave to the whole casts and crew.

Hats off to the team of Zsazsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal and to Mr. Carlo Vergara who made this phenomenal story! Thank you and mabuhay ang mga bakla! Hehe.

PS. I still have the last song in my head and the chant "Sasama sa bakla!" Hahahaha!
For those who didn't get a chance to see this rerun, well, better luck next time! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another rerun just like the rest of you, guys! ^_^
