Lighting Up the Season with BE:FIRST’s Festive New Single “Lighting up the town 街灯”

BE:FIRST has unwrapped “Lighting up the town 街灯”, a Christmas tie-up single packed with gospel sparkle and the group’s signature charisma.

The joyful track illuminates the cold season, wrapping listeners in warmth and radiance. Rooted in gospel and unfolding with dramatic flair, its lively rhythm carries BE:FIRST’s expressive vocals, while layered harmonies turn everyday moments into small treasures of happiness. Bringing this festive magic to life are producer Chaki Zulu, co-writers Satoru Kurihara (Jazzin’park), keyboardist Atsushi Inoue, and SKY-HI.

“Lighting up the town 街灯” comes with a cozy, one-take music video that feels like stepping into the world’s warmest house party, perfectly capturing the festive season’s joy and intimate moments. The video opens with a brief glimpse into LEO’s introspective moment, contrasting the chilly outdoor night with the increasing warmth inside a house as more voices join in. Shot in a single continuous take to preserve the group’s natural chemistry, the visual layers mirror the growing joy and connection at the heart of the song, highlighting both the members’ playful, relaxed sides and their polished performance presence.

BE:FIRST’s festive presence extends beyond the music, as “Lighting up the town 街灯” serves as the official FamilyMart Christmas tie-up song. The new commercial, featuring the group promoting FamilyMart’s Christmas chicken, begins airing on 9 December 2025, further spreading the seasonal cheer.
