Get Ready to Swoon with Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-been in Spring Fever on Prime Video

Prime Video today announced the launch of Spring Fever, a captivating new Korean romance comedy series starring Ahn Bo-hyun (Flex X Cop, See You in My 19th Life, Yumi’s Cells) and Lee Joo-been (The Divorce Insurance, Twelve, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area). The series will premiere on January 5, with two new episodes released weekly in over 240 countries and territories, exclusively on Prime Video.

Spring Fever, directed by Park Won-gook and written by Kim Ah-jeong, shows the warm spring romance that melts frozen hearts between Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-been), a cold-hearted high school teacher, and Sun Jae-gyu (Ahn Bo-hyun), a man whose fiery passion turns a quiet village upside down.

With a star-studded cast including Ahn Bo-hyun, Lee Joo-been, Cha Seo-won, Cho Jun-young, Lee Jae-in, Jin Kyung, and Bae Jung-nam, the exceptional lineup of talent creates an ensemble worthy of anticipation. Adding to the excitement, the drama marks the highly anticipated return of director Park Won-gook, who captivated and received a lot of love from global audiences with his previous series Marry My Husband.

The scriptreading session has been revealed with images of the cast to heighten anticipation. Director Park Won-gook, writer Kim Ah-jeong, Ahn Bo-hyun (as Sun Jae-gyu), Lee Joo-been (as Yoon Bom), Cha Seo-won (as Choi I-jun), Cho Jun-young (as Sun Han-gyul), Lee Jae-in (as Choi Se-jin), Jin Kyung (as Seo Hye-suk), and Bae Jung-nam (as Jeong Jin-hyeok) gathered to read through the script together.

Ahn Bo-hyun fully immersed himself as Sun Jae-gyu, the unpredictable troublemaker who constantly stirs up the town and is also the uncle of Sun Han-gyul (Cho Jun-young). His expressive acting and subtle comedic timing, paired with his natural Busan dialect, filled the session with laughter.

Lee Joo-been transformed perfectly into Yoon Bom, the high school teacher who sparks the villagers’ curiosity, commanding attention. She brought her own color to Yoon Bom, the “outsider teacher” who hides a gentle heart beneath her cool exterior. Furthermore, Lee Joo-been and Ahn Bo-hyun showcased flawless rom-com chemistry, raising expectations for the fresh excitement the two will bring to the screen.

Cha Seo-won, Cho Jun-young, and Lee Jae-in also made striking impressions. Cha Seo-won transformed into Choi I-jun, an elite lawyer whose position between Jae-gyu and Bom heightens intrigue. Cho Jun-young plays Sun Han-gyul, the top student at Shinsu High School and Jae-gyu’s only nephew, while Lee Jae-in appears as Choi Se-jin, Han-gyul’s rival and self-proclaimed anti-fan. Their blend of rivalry and youth romance promises vibrant storytelling.

Additionally, a lineup of scene-stealing teachers—including Jin Kyung, Bae Jung-nam, Kim Beong-choun, Oh Man-seok, and Jung Young-ki—further enhances the drama’s charm.
Ahn Bo-hyun commented, “This drama features characters with visuals unlike anything I’ve seen before. The script was incredibly fun, and I was drawn to playing an uncle for the first time as well as using dialect. I think viewers will enjoy a drama full of laughter.”

Lee Joo-been added, “The beautiful scenery, refreshing village setting, and witty humor are definite highlights. Not just Jae-gyu and Bom, but the playful chemistry between students and teachers is wonderful. There’s even a hidden character later on that viewers will enjoy discovering.”

Spring Fever signals the arrival of a romantic comedy that will appeal to all viewers. From its contrasting yet irresistible leads to the youthful stories of high school students, the drama is filled with charm.
