One night only: SKETCH SHOW revives their iconic 2002 concert on YouTube
Electronic pioneers SKETCH SHOW — the groundbreaking unit of Yukihiro Takahashi and Haruomi Hosono — are unlocking the vault. For one night only, their legendary 2002 live film WILD SKETCH SHOW - SKETCH SHOW LIVE 2002 - will stream worldwide on YouTube, giving fans and new listeners alike a rare chance to witness the duo’s visionary sound in full force.
The stream goes live at 8:00PM (JST) on Friday, 19 September, marking the anniversary of SKETCH SHOW’s debut album “audio sponge”. Originally released only on DVD in 2003, this performance footage has been treasured by fans for over two decades — and will now be available globally online for the very first time.
Filmed at Tokyo’s iconic Shibuya AX during their December 2002 nationwide tour, the concert featured a star-studded lineup including Keigo Oyamada (Cornelius), Hirofumi Tokutake, and a special guest appearance by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
