Philippine Leaders Join Global Ranks: Shaping the Future of PR and Communications

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) proudly announces that two of its esteemed board members, Norman Agatep, APR, and Ana B. Pista, APR, have been elected as Acting Treasurer and Delegate-at-Large (representing any membership categories), respectively, for the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (Global Alliance) Executive Board for the 2025-2026 term. Both of them will serve their new terms until June 30, 2027.

Ms. Pista's continued presence on this prestigious international body underscores the Philippines' growing influence and leadership in the global public relations and communications industry.

A highly respected figure in Philippine public relations, Ms. Pista is the founder and CEO of Ardent Communications and currently serves as PRSP’s VP-Internal Affairs. Her re-election to the Global Alliance executive board is a testament to her invaluable contributions and insights, which have consistently enriched the Global Alliance's strategic discussions and initiatives.
 
As a Delegate-at-Large, she plays a vital role in ensuring that the diverse perspectives and evolving needs of communication professionals across various membership categories are effectively represented on the global stage.
 
 
Global Alliance unveils diverse executive board to drive industry forward
 
The Global Alliance announced its newly elected Executive Board, a diverse and distinguished group of leaders set to steer the future of the global public relations and communications industry. This dynamic board, representing a broad spectrum of expertise and geographical regions, is poised to champion ethical practices, foster innovation, and enhance the strategic value of responsible communication worldwide.
 
Leading the charge as President is Justin Green of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII), whose tenure extends until June 30, 2027. He will be supported by Silvia Arto from We Are Com (France) as Vice President, Claire Ryan of the Canadian Public Relations Society as Secretary, and Philip T. Bonaventura from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) as Treasurer. Their collective leadership is crucial in driving the organization's strategic initiatives and ensuring its continued growth and influence.
 
The newly constituted executive board underscores the Global Alliance's commitment to truly global representation and diverse perspectives. Delegates-at-Large represent National Associations, including Hamilton dos Santos (ABERJE - Brazil), Jaffri Amin Osman (IPRM - Malaysia), Kia Haring (ProCom - Finland), and Pamela Yin Xiaodong (PRGC - China).
 
Further enriching the board are Delegates-at-Large representing various membership categories, including Ana B. Pista of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), Irene Lungu of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC), Peter Mutie of Peterson Integrated Communication Institute in Kenya, and Boy Kelana Soebroto of the Indonesia Public Relations Association (Perhumas). Their insights will be vital in addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities faced by communication professionals across different sectors.
 
The academic and research community is strongly represented by Dr. Amybel Sánchez de Walther (USMP – San Martín de Porres University - Peru), Dr. Jude Genilo (University Liberal Arts Bangladesh ULAB), Dr. Wole Adamolekun (Elizade University - Nigeria), and Amith Prabhu (The Promise Foundation - India).
 
Moreover, a robust group of Regional Delegates-at-Large, including Adrian Cropley (CSCE - Australia), Bonnie Caver (Reputation Lighthouse - USA), Prof. Dailen Rene Benecke (PRISA - South Africa), and Gesille Buot (Asean Public Relations Network - Indonesia), will provide critical regional insights, ensuring that Global Alliance's initiatives are locally relevant and globally impactful.
 
Other notable regional delegates include Dr. Ike Neliaku (NIPR - Nigeria), Jennifer Muir (CPRA - Australia), My Nguyen Khoa (VNPR - Vietnam), Noella Mutanda (PRSK - Kenya), Maliha Aqeel (IABC - USA), Pavel Vlček (ASCOPA - Czech Republic), Steve Shepperson-Smith (CIPR - UK), and Dr. T. Serra Görpe (Tühid - Turkey).
