Acer Continues to Lead Consumer and Gaming Notebook Markets in the Philippines
Acer once again dominated the Philippine
market for consumer and gaming notebooks in 2024, capturing 35.7% of the total
market share, according to third-party survey data by GfK. Acer secured a 34.2%
market share in the consumer notebook category and a 40.6% market share in the
gaming notebook category. This means that one in every three laptops in the
Philippines is an Acer.
Key growth drivers included best-value
offerings, extensive sales coverage, and strategic marketing campaigns. Acer’s
agility in adapting to the latest trends and leveraging the influence of its
brand ambassadors, such as SB19 and G22, resonated with the young target
demographic.
Acer also solidified its market leadership
in the gaming category with Predator Gaming. The brand has always focused on growing the esports community through
events like the Asia Pacific Predator League.
“These initiatives have built stronger
brand equity, resulting in customers recognizing and trusting Acer and its
products. For 2025 and beyond, our consumers can only expect the best of what
we can offer,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Acer Philippines Managing Director.
Another factor contributing to Acer’s
success is the brand’s strong nationwide presence. Consumers can purchase Acer
