Seafret Release New Single "Remind Me To Forget You" and Announce New Album

After capping off an incredible 2022 with the release of their highly-praised EP ‘Anywhere From Here’ before returning last month to deliver their captivating new single and video, “See, I’m Sorry”, acclaimed duo Seafret now return to announce the details behind their eagerly-awaited third studio album 'Wonderland' due for release on April 14th via Nettwerk. Alongside the announcement is the shimmering new single, “Remind Me To Forget You”.

Marking their first full-length release since their 2020 sophomore LP 'Most Of Us Are Strangers', their newest collection looks to build upon the revived acclaim the pair received throughout last year – 2015's breakthrough effort “Atlantis” which re-emerged with a surprise viral run of the sped up version on TikTok, racking up 1.7 billion views across videos using the track and is now at 426 million streams on Spotify alone. The feat led to their first UK Official Charts Top 40 single and 13 million Spotify monthly listeners in the process. With the new release "Remind Me To Forget You", Seafret finds themselves in their most high-profile guise to date as they deliver one of their more euphoric and captivating releases so far.

Speaking of the new album, they share: "We are delighted to finally announce our third album, ‘Wonderland’. It has been an absolute joy to create. Some of the songs were inspired from being in a dark place and then finding the light again and things falling into place. We hope the positivity shines through. We think It’s the best album we’ve made so far and we hope you feel the same when it's released on April 14th.”

Preceded by the new lead single “Remind Me To Forget You”, the duo’s latest endeavour sees them pursue a beautifully rich and alluring aesthetic. Capturing another heady dose of sweet and tender textures, alongside Jack Sedman’s remarkable vocals, this marks one of the more heartfelt moments on their forthcoming full-length.

"We are super excited to release our latest single ‘Remind Me To Forget You’. The song was inspired by the in limbo feeling you get at the end of a relationship - you know it’s over but something stops you moving on.”

Hope requires courage. 'Wonderland', the astonishing album from acclaimed duo Seafret, has both these qualities in spades. The culmination of two years of graft by band members and longtime friends Jack Sedman and Harry Draper, this record is a sublime body of work that guides the listener through the band’s story, from heartbreak and loss to the joys of love and new life. “It’s the project we’re most proud of,” says Sedman. “The one we’re most invested in and emotionally connected to.”

Formed in 2011 after meeting at an open mic night near their hometown of Bridlington, Yorkshire, Seafret rose to swift acclaim upon the release of their debut project, 'Give Me Something'. The EP opens with the title track, a beautifully wrought composition of tender guitar picking, ghostly cries and Sedman’s own affecting tenor. A year later, in 2015, they released their astounding 'Oceans' EP. Accompanied by a video starring Game of Thrones actor Maisie Williams as a bullied teen, the lead single “Oceans'' remains a fan favourite, with over 170 million Spotify streams.

Steadily building their fanbase in Asia, Indonesia #1, Malaysia #4 and the Philippines are Seafret's top 15 streaming markets worldwide.
