vaultboy returns with "why u gotta be like that" featuring the pop trio Nightly. The vulnerable track is about the push and pull of a tumultuous courtship. vaultboy is in his element, wearing his heart on his sleeve as he croons out of confusion and frustration.
vaultboy shares, "This song is about wanting to be with someone who sends mixed signals about wanting you back. Pushing you away, pulling you closer, and you let them do it because you want to be with them even though you know you’re probably going to be the one who gets hurt."
