TGIFridays’ 25th Anniversary: A 90’s-Themed Party We All Deserve
When it comes to comforting American dishes and amazing flair tending and bartending, there’s really no doubt that TGIFridays’ is the first casual dining spot, if not the only one, we have in mind. With each store filled with groovy and colorful diner feel serving filling and right-on-the-spot food, drinks and sound, there’s no surprise that this restaurant chain is celebrating its 25th year in the business just like that.
Held at the Activity Center of Glorietta Mall in Makati, hundreds of personalities, employees, TGIFridays’ loyal fans, friends, and media flocked to gather and celebrate the Silver Year of the restaurant chain that’s been serving as comfort food since 1994.
Carrying the 90’s theme, the celebration shares astonishing things we enjoyed bac in the 90’s including rainbow springs, Rubik’s Cube, the Japanese’s Tamagotchi, cassette tapes and other reminiscing items that made everyone look back at one of the most colorful and exciting decade.
The celebration started through a ceremonial lighting of a marker that symbolized 25 good years of TGIFridays. The Bistro Group’s Chairman and CEO Wiliam Stelton, President and COO Jean Paul Manuud, and the company’s Executive Committee led this, and just any anniversary or birthday party, a birthday cake was blown after singing TGIFriday’s version of “Happy Birthday” song.
The celebration showcased TGIFriday’s most priced assets, its talented and cool employees that gave the celebration a different high. I was there and I can feel the joyful vibe in everyone. Aside from the signature dishes offered and overflowing drinks that we shared, there were also stand-up comedy, flair-tending performances and a flash mob led by its employees who are dressed in different 90’s inspired costumes.
Capping the night off was a performance by Verse two band that rocked the whole of Glorietta.
As a special treat to every guest of all TGIfriday’s, stating December 11, at exactly 1pm and 7pm daily, guests will receive a FREE Chilli Ballpark Nachos along with FREE Beverage for every guest.
