The "ICON" is Back!

On its second presentation to the general public, The People's Car, the Volkswagen, was presented again by Ayala Auto Holdings Corporation (AAHC) and Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. (ACEI) last April 2 at The Mind Museum in Bonofacio Global City, Taguig.

Led by AAHC and ACEI Chariman, Mr. Fernand Zobel de Ayala, his brother, Mr. Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala and CEO, Mr. JP Orbeta, the third generation of the Volkswagen made a ceremonial comeback that shares the milestone and achievement of the world's most known car type - The Beetle.

With 21.5 million cars sold since its first production in 1939 to 1997, the New Beetle boasts up with stunning features set to be bolder, more dynamic and truly engineered to play. 

"No other car evokes as much nostalgia, tradition and heritage as the Beetle. As such, I am especially pleased and excited to launch a car as iconic as celebrated as the one we launched tonight", said Fernando Zobel de Ayala, during the program of the relaunching of the Final Edition of the Volkswagen Beetle.

The new Beetle breaks free of the geometry of the past models and displays impressive sports appeal that are just so hard not to touch and feel. Its extended bonnet, sharply swept-back windscreen and longer wheelbase made this latest masterpiece the love. Modified interior ergonomics produce an agile, driver-oriented coupe experience that anyone will surely enjoy. And in addition, with its improved feeling of space, due to its longer roof section, the New Beetle is definitely the one that will take you back the old coolness with a modern adjustments.

The New Beetle is 1808 mm wide (84 mm wider), 1486 mm tall (12 mm lower) and 4278 mm long (152 mm longer). This has resulted in entirely new proportions. The gain in length meant that the roof could be extended further, the front windscreen could be shifted back and the rear section could follow the contour of the original Beetle.

The new focal point is the C-pillar. In parallel, the development team increased the car's track widths and wheelbase, which gives the New Beetle a total powerful appearance with muscular tension.

With all of these amazing features and functionality that speaks nothing but iconic perfection, who wouldn't want to have the New Beetle of Volkswagen? As for the price? Well, the Beetle 1.2 TSI is sold at Php1,590,000.00, while the Beetle 1.4 TSI is sold at Php1,790,000.00, and its Oryx White is at Php1,840,000.00.
