The All-Star Basketball Challenge at Mall of Asia Arena

It was probably one of the best starters in the land as SM Mall of Asia Arena opens its electronic gates to the sports aficionados of this country. And with Chicago Bulls alums Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen at the front line of this exciting match-up, indeed, SM Mall of Asia Arena is the next sports arena!

True to its claim of offering Filipinos a world-class entertainment venue with its ultramodern state-of-the-art amenities, Mall of Asia Arena now brings the biggest names in local and international  sports starting with this All-Star Basketball Challenge that happened last July 18.

With Mall of Asia Arena’s basketball court floorings by Robbins, eight-sided, center-hung scoreboard by Daktroniks, retractable Spalding goals and LED ribbon boards, I get to enjoy watching my NBA idols strutting their best with our very own's pride PBA players.

Sampled the Mall of Asia Arena’s NBA-standard goods are Philippine and American all-star basketball legends. Again, there's Dennis Rodman, Horace Grant and Scottie Pippen with other basketball icons Mitch Robinson, Cliff Robinson, Victor Alexander, Jeff Trepagnier, Jason Williams, Charoy Bentley and Alexis Foyle with coach Oscar “The Big O” Robertson leading the bunch.

Philippine basketball hotshots, on the other hand, was a powerhouse fusion of Ginebra, Alaska and Purefoods alums Kenneth Duremdez, Marlou Aquino, Nelson Asaytono, Bong Hawkins, Bal David, EJ Feihl, Noli Locsin, Jerry Codinera, Vince Hizon and Jojo Lastimosa.

It was like a dream come true to me and probably to those PBA basketball legends too because it was really  unbelievable. These NBA stars were really kings of the basketball court and I'm glad that our own players matched their strength and style in giving awesome game!
