Cirque du Soleil now in Manila!

Don't we Filipinos love circus? I love circus! I really, really love circus! I'm not refering to the one that's happening at the Senate, Congress or even in show business now. I'm refering to the theatrical form of circus. The one with amazing production designs, stunningly colorful costumes and jaw-dropping stunts! And just today, I got to attend the press confenerence of the mother of all circus in the world - Cirque du Soleil.

Yes! For the first time in the Philippines and for the first time in Asia, the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil will be performing here in Manila showcasing their bone-breaking stunts through Varekai.

Pronounced as ver-ay-'kie, which means "wherever" in Romany language of the gypsies - the universal wanderers, this production will pay tribute to the nomadic soul, to the spirit and art of the  circus tradition and to those who quest with infinite passion.

During its press conference, which held a while ago at the Manila Grand Ballroom of Manila Hotel, we witnessed the display of talents of this amazing performers, which is headed by their writter and director Mr. Dominic Champagne.
