Bossing Ako! (I’m the Boss!)

I got a wonderful chance last night to witness the unveiling of PLDT-SME Nations’ top Filipino entrepreneurs who’s been a good role model to all the Filipinos out there who are striving to make a mark on our country through their little businesses.

With this campaign’s title “Bossing Ako! (I’m the Boss), it aims to ignite and unite Filipino ingenuity for business. It also encourages more Filipinos to strive to become their own boss by becoming entrepreneurs. It also seeks to inspire Filipino small to medium scale entrepreneurs to continue striving for success and courageously meet the challenges of growing their business.

Hosted by the powerful duo, Tessa Prieto-Valdez and Tim Yap, who are also top Filipino entrepreneurs, they gave the night an encouraging and happy feel that we all enjoyed. (and some “tsismis” on the side)

The gathering was started by Myrus with his very inspiring rendition of 2 Become 1, an original Spice Girls' song.

After that number, Tessa and Tim raffled off some laptop bags. (I want one!)

As the servers of Society Lounge placed some dishes on our tables, the program started.

They presented the top entrepreneurs who will serve as the ambassadors of PLDT-SME Nations. Among them are Mother Lily Monteverde, the “Bossing” of Regal Films, Jay Aldeguer, the “Bossing” of Island Souvenirs, JoeyConcepcion, “Bossing” of Go Negosyo and Manny V. Pangilinan, “Bossing” of PLDT.

They also presented other “Bossing Ako” allies like Les Reyes, the “Bossing” of Reyes HairCutters, Gardy Cruz, the “Bossing” of Pancit Malabon Express, Raphael and Jenni Soon, the “Bossings” of North Park, Ronald Pineda, the “Bossing” of Folded & Hung, Benjamin Liuson, the “Bossing” of The Generics Pharmacy, Darius and Carlos Hizon, the “Bossings” of Pampanga’s Best, Louie and Dulzi Gutierres, the “Bossings” of Silverworks and Vicki and Cristalle Belo, the “Bossings” of Belo Medical Group.

I chose Ronald Pineda's picture because I'm a big fan of Folded & Hung. Hehehe.

The night made more inspiring with the fascinating number of Rico Blanco, who sung the theme song of this campaign entitled “Para sa mga Bossing."

Wow! What a number, right? And, ehem, I think Rico looks good that night. Hihihi.

The original song was actually Rico Blanco with Arnel Pineda.

The night ended with a little fashion show showcasing some of the products of the companies of those top entrepreneurs. They also raffled off again an HP netbook to those who dropped their calling card in their fish bowl as the final and grand prize that night. Nice!

So, for those who are into business, PLDT-SME Nation offers some business help and you can call them at 101-8888 or visit www.pldtdme-nation.com.ph.

Keep it up, guys!
