The Bonifacio Global City Food Tour
I’m so glad that I got in on the second batch of food bloggers for the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) Food Tour last May 1, 2010. This event, which was spearheaded by Mr. Ivan Man Dy, took us to seven foodie stations around BGC to have a free taste, appreciate and learn their unique and newest dishes to hit the city.
Luckily, I have with me with some good colleagues who shared some of their thoughts as we store-hop at BGC.
But before I start sharing my stories about the awesome food escapades that I had, let me share to you these pieces that I saw in Bonifacio High Street.
Let me tell you that Bonifacio Global City is not just housing the most authentic and satisfactory restaurants in the metro, but also, it houses unique and stunning art pieces that are truly country’s pride. This exhibit – part of the BGC Passion Fest 2010 – features the most unique and modern art pieces which you can find around Bonifacio Global City.
Pasasalamat
by Ferdie Cacnio
The Trees
by Reynato Paz Contreras
This is my most favourite piece in BGC. It gives a “wonderland” feel that I know most of us can relate onto it.
Bearable Lightness
by Reg Yuson and Ronald Achaocoso
Ang Supremo
by Leo Ben-Hur Villanueva
Kasaysayan ng Bawat Oras
by Juan Sajid de Leon Imao
This one was the one the interests me a lot.
TINSTAEJ # 85
by Conrado Velasco
TINSTAEJ stands for There Is No Such Thing As Endless Joy. Some may find it mind boggling, but for me, it is simply a bear. :-)
Concert
by Reg Yuson
Balanghai
by Leo Gerardo Leonard
Another favourite of mine.
And here’s the most popular art piece in BGC:
Specific Gravity
by Reg Yuson
One thing that attracts most tourists to this art piece is the flowing water that comes from the top of the stone. It is so relaxing to watch especially on a very hot day like last Saturday.
Bonifacio Global City is indeed the haven for modern art. No wonder more and more people prefer to stroll, shop and dine here because of the exceptional ambiance that you can only find in this side of the planet.
So, after looking at these wonderful miniatures of art pieces here at Bonifacio Global City, I think my mind is ready for some art appreciation (culinary arts) as well as my stomach for some FREE food tasting! Whoopee!
So, just keep following my blog this whole week for I will feature the seven outstanding food havens that we’ve been through here at Bonifacio Global City.
Happy eating!
