Cake Day on Payday!
It’s payday again and as my routine goes, I scouted for a nice place to have lunch! And, of course, I have my good pal, Rio, dine with me.
This day, we visit Claudette's, I Love Cakes store here in V.A. Rufino St., Salcedo Village, Makati City.

The façade of this restaurant is the typical business-type, but when you get inside, to my disappointment, it looked like a cabaret --a cheap cabaret.
Anyways, it seems that they’re serving a "somehow" decent food in here, so we took the courage to eat here.
I ordered Puttanesca (lots of olives), a bottomless Iced Tea and a slice of New York Cheesecake.
My pal, Rio, ordered a Salisbury’s Steak, a bottomless Iced Tea and a slice of New York Cheesecake, too.
Their prices were quite reasonable. The interior was quite spacious, though again, I don’t like their interior design; it made it looked not that appealing.
As the chef prepared our orders, they gave us a cup of hot soup. The soup looked so simple, but when I tasted it, it was good. And from that moment on, I knew that I’ll be having a great lunch here despite of the distracting Christmas lights inside that place.

The Puttanesca was really good. And it had a lot of olives. The aroma was so nice. The tingly taste was the sign, for me, that it was, indeed, good pasta. The sauce was perfectly blended, which made the taste so rich. Though, the pasta, which I think, was not drained really well. But even though, it hadn’t affected the whole taste of my meal. The bread was the typical loaf, good thing, they put it in an oven before serving it to me.

Their New York Cheesecake was really, really, really good! We loved it! And we ate everything that’s on our plate! Hahahaha!
The flavorful cheesecake came with a caramel and chocolate syrup which balanced the sweet, sour and salty tastes of that delicious cheesecake. It just took me 5 minutes to finish this dessert and I really enjoyed this one.

Their Iced Tea cost me Php40.00 and it’s refillable. Not bad, eh?
Rio’s Salisbury’s Streak cost her Php150.00, which came with a side salad.
Claudette's also offers a wide selection of cakes (cheesecakes, chocolate cakes, cream cakes, carrot cake, sans rival, etc.) sandwiches, family meals, Pinoy desserts and many more.
Oh, I really love paydays! How I wish I have a better salary!
And lesser tax deduction! Hahaha!
