A Full Circle Moment for WOLF HOWL HARMONY as They Put 'Gachi Funk' in Portuguese

WOLF HOWL HARMONY is now taking its connection with Brazil one step further. They went to Brazil with “Gachi Funk”. Now, they’re sending the song back in Portuguese on 4 October.

It's a deliberate move, not just a language swap, but a real attempt to hand the song back to the exact fans and creators who made it feel like home in the first place. The group will release a Portuguese version of the song's chorus on TikTok and Instagram, giving fans and creators a new way to bring "Gachi Funk" into their own content.

“Gachi Funk” already draws from Funk, Hip-Hop and Brazilian influences, with Portuguese, English and Japanese woven throughout the original track. This new version puts Portuguese at the center of its chorus, giving the song a fresh way to connect with listeners beyond Japan.
There is also a personal connection behind the move. WOLF HOWL HARMONY member GHEE has Brazilian roots, making Brazil a meaningful part of the group’s story. Earlier this year, that connection took them to São Paulo, where they performed “Gachi Funk” live at the large-scale event Anime Friends 2026 in front of a Brazilian audience.

Now, the group is bringing that connection back online. Released as a sound for TikTok and Instagram, “Gachi Funk (Portuguese ver.)” is designed not just to be listened to, but used. Dance videos, fashion, makeup, transitions, comedy, everyday routines and anything else creators can dream up can all become part of where the song goes next.

For WOLF HOWL HARMONY, the Portuguese version is another step toward reaching fans beyond Japan, particularly across Brazil and Latin America. Rather than simply adding another language to the song, the group is opening up its hook to a new community of listeners and creators.

GHEE hopes the new version can become a bridge between WOLF HOWL HARMONY and listeners around the world: "I'd love for people across Brazil, Latin America, and honestly the whole world to get to know WOLF HOWL HARMONY's music even more. It's not just about social media either, I want to actually get out to different countries, meet everyone in person, and sing together more and more. If the Portuguese version of 'Gachi Funk' becomes one more step connecting us with people around the world, that would make me really happy."

With “Gachi Funk (Portuguese ver.)” landing on TikTok and Instagram from 4 October, the next chapter of the song is no longer entirely in WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s hands. The hook is out there. Now, it’s up to the fans and creators to see where it goes.
