Next Gen J-POP Rising Groups LIL LEAGUE and KID PHENOMENON set to showcase their talent to the world at Music Matters Live 2026

Rising J-POP groups LIL LEAGUE and KID PHENOMENON, members of LDH’s next-generation collective NEO EXILE, are set to bring their music and energy to Music Matters Live 2026, held alongside the All That Matters conference in Singapore from October 2 to 7, 2026. The groups will take the stage on Saturday, October 3, at Clarke Quay, bringing their distinctive blend of music, dance, and contemporary Japanese pop culture to international fans and global music industry professionals.

Music Matters Live, the music-focused pillar of All That Matters, is a leading international platform connecting the Asia-Pacific music industry with the global stage. Bringing together industry leaders, music professionals, and emerging artists from around the world, the event combines thought-provoking conference sessions with live showcases designed to spotlight the next generation of global talent.

As J-POP continues to expand its international footprint through streaming, social media, and cross-genre influences spanning hip-hop, R&B, and dance music, NEO EXILE represents a new generation of Japanese entertainment, one that embraces contemporary global culture while retaining the distinctive identity of Japanese pop.

LIL LEAGUE, winners of LDH’s highly competitive iCON Z ~Dreams For Children~ audition, which drew approximately 48,000 applicants, have quickly established themselves as one of the most promising groups of the new generation of J-pop. Known for their high-energy performances, powerful vocals, rap, and dynamic choreography, the six-member group has steadily expanded their presence beyond Japan. Following a series of international performances at Japan Expo Thailand 2026, NIPPON HAKU BANGKOK (2025–2026), and SUPERFLUID, one of the largest Songkran music festivals, LIL LEAGUE continues to build a growing international following. Following the success of their debut hit “Hunter,” and latest single, “Boku Wo Sagashiteta,” their appearance at Music Matters Live marks another major step in bringing their music and performances to audiences around the world.

Meanwhile, seven-member group KID PHENOMENON brings its own distinct vision through “TOKYO NEO POP,” a contemporary fusion of Tokyo’s street culture, fashion, dance, and futuristic pop sound.  Tracks such as “Existence” and the newly released “KIDS” showcase the group’s energetic performance style and individuality. Demonstrating their growing international appeal, KID PHENOMENON performed at SXSW in the U.S. last March 2026 and received festival performance invitations from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Mexico. These opportunities further solidify their emergence as a new generation of artists shaping the global presence of modern Tokyo culture.

Following in the footsteps of fellow LDH artists PSYCHIC FEVER and WOLF HOWL HARMONY, who performed at the 2025 edition of Music Matters Live, LIL LEAGUE and KID PHENOMENON will continue LDH’s push to introduce the next wave of Japanese talent to audiences across Asia and beyond.
