BE:FIRST just released a heartbreak song you can dance to

You don't expect a song called "Missing" to make you want to dance. But heartbreak has never sounded straightforward in the hands of BE:FIRST.

For their milestone 10th single and the second instalment of their 5th Anniversary Project, the six-member group reunite with UK hitmaker Jonas Blue for "Missing", a dance-pop track that turns regret into release and longing into something impossible to shake off. Having previously collaborated through BE:FIRST's cover of "Don't Wake Me Up", the renewed partnership feels like a natural progression, pairing Jonas Blue's gift for emotional dance music with BE:FIRST's expressive vocal delivery.

Opening with a fragile acoustic guitar before exploding into Jonas Blue's unmistakable euphoric production, "Missing" captures the contradiction at the heart of heartbreak: wanting to move on while replaying every memory you wish had stayed. As BE:FIRST's high-register vocals repeat the phrase "Don't disappear", the track refuses to separate heartbreak from hope. Instead, it embraces the tension between wanting to move on and wanting just one more moment.

The release is accompanied by two visual interpretations of the same emotional story. The official music video stars actor Airu Kubozuka in a drama filmed in Thailand, portraying a young man suspended between dreams and reality during his time abroad. Inspired by lyrics about memories that refuse to fade and moments you wish could last forever, it captures the ache of reaching for something that feels close enough to touch, yet always remains just beyond your grasp.

Meanwhile, the accompanying dance video shifts the spotlight back onto BE:FIRST themselves. Also filmed in Thailand, it showcases the group's intricate choreography, undeniable chemistry and commanding stage presence, reminding viewers why performance remains at the heart of BE:FIRST's appeal. While each video stands on its own, attentive viewers may notice shared locations and intersecting moments that gradually reveal new dimensions to the story.

"Missing" arrives during another landmark period for the group. BE:FIRST recently drew attention through the release of "Doesn't Really Matter (Remix)" alongside Janet Jackson following appearances at JANET JACKSON JAPAN 2026. Later this year, they will embark on BE:FIRST WORLD SHOWCASE 2026, performing across Bangkok, Taipei, Manila and New York, with overwhelming demand leading to the addition of a second New York show shortly after tickets went on sale.

Five years into their journey, BE:FIRST continues to push forward onto bigger stages around the world. Yet with "Missing", they choose to linger on something universal: the people, memories and moments we struggle to leave behind.

Because sometimes the hardest thing to move on from is the part of you that still hopes they won't disappear.
