Maximillian Releases Third Album "I’m Fine"
With more than 800 million global streams and an international audience spanning Southeast Asia, China, Europe and beyond, Danish pop artist Maximillian releases his highly anticipated third album I’m Fine — a 13-track pop project exploring anxiety, heartbreak, love, pressure and the emotions people often struggle to express out loud.
Alongside the album release, Maximillian also unveils the official music video for the title track “I’m Fine” — a visually intimate one-take performance piece designed to reflect the emotional tension and vulnerability at the center of the album. Through a continuous shot and subtle visual progression, the video mirrors the overwhelming feeling of anxiety and emotional suppression explored throughout the project, translating the sonic atmosphere of the album into a cinematic visual universe.
Built around the emotional core and focus track “I’m Fine,” the album marks Maximillian’s most personal body of work to date. Inspired by experiences with anxiety, panic attacks and emotional burnout, the project explores the contrast between external appearances and internal reality — the idea of saying “I’m fine” while struggling underneath the surface.
“I used to say ‘I’m fine’ all the time while going through anxiety and panic attacks. I would brush it off and smile so people wouldn’t worry too much.”
Written across Copenhagen and Los Angeles alongside producer Karl-Frederik and a close creative circle, I’m Fine intentionally moves across a wide emotional spectrum — balancing intimate ballads, euphoric pop moments, cinematic production and emotionally driven songwriting within a cohesive sonic universe.
The album follows previously released singles “Day & Night,” “Paramour,” “She’s Missing,” “Best Of Me,” and “Lifetimes Away,” each introducing different emotional layers of the project ahead of release. Across the album, Maximillian moves between different emotional states and relationships, allowing each song to represent its own moment, memory or conversation.
Opening track “Talking About Us” reflects on heartbreak and emotional hesitation after a difficult breakup, while “Honest Too” explores the confusion and frustration of emotional unavailability in modern relationships. In contrast, “Day & Night” and “Paramour” bring lighter and more romantic energy into the album universe through intimate melodies and warm pop production. “She’s Missing” was written about a close friend unexpectedly losing an 11-year relationship, turning heartbreak into a shared emotional release, while “Home” became one of the album’s most personal songs after a friend lost their mother to cancer. Tracks such as “Good Life” and “Worth The Wait” introduce moments of hope, friendship and emotional relief, balancing the heavier themes carried throughout the project. Meanwhile, “Hate To Say,” “Best Of Me,” and “Where Do We Go From This” dive deeper into unresolved emotions, emotional distance and relationships slowly falling apart. A standout moment arrives with “Lifetimes Away” featuring Danish pop icon Medina — a cinematic pop duet exploring impossible love and the feeling of meeting the right person at the wrong time.
The project closes with “I’m Fine,” a song Maximillian describes as the emotional culmination of the entire album. Inspired by the physical sensation of panic attacks, the production incorporates rising sonic tension and unsettling textures intended to make listeners physically feel the discomfort and emotional pressure embedded in the song.
“I wanted people to feel uncomfortable — especially people who’ve never experienced anxiety before.”
Beyond its personal themes, I’m Fine also represents an important creative milestone for Maximillian — both emotionally and artistically. The album reflects a period where songwriting became a way to process emotions, relationships and experiences in real time. “Every song felt like something I needed to say or get out of my system.”
Alongside the release, Maximillian launches a global campaign across Southeast Asia, China, the Nordics, and the US, including DSP pitching, influencer activations, short-form storytelling content, PR outreach, and a serialized TikTok / Rednote visualizer universe inspired by the themes of the album.
