Something unexpected is happening around GENERATIONS.
“Sing it Loud,” a single originally released 11 years ago by GENERATIONS, the dance and vocal group also known for their theme song contribution to the TV anime ONE PIECE, has suddenly re-entered music charts, triggering a wave of renewed attention that has propelled multiple past releases back onto music charts in Japan.
On the RecoChoku Video Ranking (Daily) dated May 18, 2026, “Sing it Loud,” originally released in 2015, unexpectedly entered the chart at No.5. Member Hayato Komori quickly reacted to the surprising news on social media, drawing even more attention to the mysterious resurgence.
As momentum grew online, GENERATIONS soon dominated the LINE MUSIC Video Ranking, occupying all top five positions at one stage. On the real-time chart, a total of 40 songs by the group simultaneously appeared within the Top 100, marking an unprecedented resurgence for the act’s catalog.
The members themselves have also joined in on the excitement. I’m beyond grateful…”
