Daniel Seavey Drops Fresh New Single "Love's A Gun", A Lush Slice of Maximalist Pop

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Seavey returns with new single "Love's a Gun" via Atlantic Records — a shimmering burst of maximalist pop. Already an instant fan-favourite, the track was first premiered live during his support run on Charlie Puth's Whatever's Clever! Tour. Fans can stream the new single HERE and watch the music video HERE.

Initially written during a pre-tour trip to Stockholm with producers VERA (Lukas Graham, Peso Pluma) and Søren Breum (MØ), Seavey completed the song back in his Los Angeles studio by both producing and playing the entirety of the track's instruments himself. The result is a sparkling, catchy, maximalist pop moment with culled inspiration from the likes of Phil Collins"Another Day in Paradise" and Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know".

"Love's a Gun" marks Seavey's second release this year, following last month's "Time to Time (Annie)", with both tracks arriving as instant fan favourites after being premiered live during his support run on Charlie Puth's Whatever's Clever! Tour. On stage, the intentions of how these songs were written are laid bare: Seavey began experimenting with a looper pedal last year on his solo headline Second Wind Tour, which included sold-out US dates before expanding across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The pre-release sound for "Love's a Gun" has also generated significant momentum, sparking nearly 750 creates and over 7 million total views across social platforms. The track also arrives alongside a Matty Peacock-directed music video (Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes).

With nearly 300 million global solo streams to date, Daniel Seavey enters the next era of his career at his brightest, boldest, and most brilliant. Driven by an incredibly passionate global audience, Southeast Asia continues to be a massive streaming powerhouse for the artist; among his top 10 countries worldwide, the Philippines ranks at #4, Indonesia at #6, and Malaysia at #10, while Singapore sits at #10 among his top global cities.
