A Siren Call You Can’t Ignore: NAQT VANE Drops “Pi-Po” English Version

There’s no easing into this one – NAQT VANE pulls you straight in.

After unveiling its latest high-energy electronic track “Pi-Po” on 24 April, the Hiroyuki Sawano-produced project now returns with “Pi-Po (English Ver.)”, sharpening its impact with English lyrics and a more groove-driven flow.

Built around its instantly memorable “Pi-Po” hook, the track leans into an addictive sonic palette, fusing electronic textures with a punchy, dance-driven beat. The result marks a distinct turn from NAQT VANE’s previous works, balancing playful energy with forward-pushing experimentation. While retaining the original’s restless energy, the English version introduces a different texture through its lyricism and phrasing, revealing a fresh side to the track.

At its core, “Pi-Po” is driven by the theme of “impulse and resolve”. The song captures the act of breaking free from external noise and superficiality, choosing instead to follow an internal surge of instinct. It’s a message that resonates with a modern sensibility, cutting through distraction, rejecting façades, and moving with intent.

Released alongside the original version of the track, the music video expands on the concept of “chance” and unexpected events. Set in an amusement park, the story unfolds through sudden glitches and bursts of noise that disrupt the environment, triggering a chain of unpredictable moments. From go-kart tracks to billiard halls, the video moves through a series of vivid, stylised scenes, each driven by dynamic choreography and playful visual direction. A standout moment features vocalist Yunoa inside a UFO catcher machine – a striking visual that merges whimsy with artistic intent, reinforcing the track’s offbeat, immersive world.

Performance also takes center stage in this release. The choreography, particularly during the “Pi-Po” sections, draws inspiration from the motion of a siren, creating a visually striking and instantly memorable hook. At the same time, the routine demands a higher level of technical precision than ever before, spotlighting NAQT VANE’s growing performance strength. It’s choreography designed to stick – and spread on social media – beyond the stage. The full “Pi-Po” choreography takes center stage in a newly released performance video premiering tonight at 9pm JST, offering a closer look at the track’s sharp, high-impact dance performance.

The release arrives amid growing momentum for the project, following the success of “VISIONS”, the theme song for Kamen Rider ZEZTZ, which has surpassed 85 million cumulative streams and views across platforms. The track also sparked a wave of fan recreations of its choreography across social media, further amplifying its reach beyond the screen.

With that foundation, NAQT VANE takes that ethos further with “Pi-Po (English Ver.)”, opening the track up to an even wider audience through a new linguistic and rhythmic approach. The release not only showcases a clear evolution in both expression and technical execution, but also signals the beginning of a new phase for the project – one that moves louder, bolder, and fully led by instinct.
