One or Eight Takes Asia by Storm, and Makes History on U.S. Mediabase Top 40

Fresh from high‑profile appearances in Asia over the weekend, Japanese pop sensation ONE OR EIGHT took center stage among fashion, film, and music icons at the GQ Hong Kong x Vogue Hong Kong “Double Vision” gala — a celebrated fashion‑culture event featuring stars such as BABYMONSTER, Paris Jackson, and MIRROR members on the red carpet. They also performed at Tokyo Girls Collection Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, a vibrant festival blending runway, culture, and live music that featured top Japanese and Vietnamese artists and influencers. These appearances highlight the group’s growing presence and influence across Asian pop culture and entertainment.

Building on this momentum, ONE OR EIGHT have now achieved a significant international milestone as the Japanese boy group with the most entries on the Mediabase U.S. Top 40 chart, with their latest single “TOKYO DRIFT” debuting at #38 following their first entry “DSTM”, marking continued global recognition.

GATHER represents ONE OR EIGHT’s most ambitious project to date, blending modern Japanese pop with bold genre fusions and dynamic sonic elements. The mini‑album features “TOKYO DRIFT,” a high‑energy track sampling the iconic Teriyaki Boyz song and embodying the group’s “bet on yourself” spirit. Its action‑packed music video captures the vibrant pulse of Tokyo while showcasing the group’s creative vision. 

Since their debut on August 16, 2024, ONE OR EIGHT have made waves internationally. Their debut single “Don’t Tell Nobody,” produced by hitmakers Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Adele, Tate McRae) and David Stewart (BTS), reached No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Heatseekers Songs chart. Their collaboration “KAWASAKI (with Big Sean)” climbed to No. 5 on the U.S. iTunes Top Rap & Hip‑Hop Songs chart and marked the group’s historic red carpet debut at the U.S. VMAs, signaling their arrival on the global stage.
