Singer-songwriter HIRAIDAI brings his signature warmth to “Baby Shark”, unveiling a collaboration music video that reimagines the global hit through a playful, family-first lens.


Originally released on April 15 as a digital cover, HIRAIDAI’s take on “Baby Shark” transforms the worldwide phenomenon into something unmistakably his own. Born from Pinkfong and propelled into pop culture history, “Baby Shark Dance” remains the most-viewed video on YouTube with over 16.8 billion views, a record-breaking anthem that continues to resonate across generations.

For HIRAIDAI, the collaboration is personal. After welcoming his second child last year, the singer-songwriter has increasingly embraced music that families can enjoy together. From his October release “f.r.i.e.n.d.s”, which featured children of fans on chorus, to the growing presence of parents and kids singing along at his live shows and across social media, his connection with audiences has taken on a more intimate, heartfelt dimension.

It’s this spirit that led to “Baby Shark” – a song that’s already a staple in his own home. Reimagined with a breezy ukulele arrangement, HIRAIDAI’s version adds a laid-back charm that feels right at home whether it’s playing in the background of a family day out or soundtracking a singalong moment.

The newly released music video leans fully into that world. Featuring beloved “Baby Shark” characters alongside “Turfy Dog”, the mascot of HIRAIDAI’s beach festival THE BEACH TRIP, the animated video unfolds at the festival grounds. As the characters gather, they work together to build a stage before launching into a joyful performance, with HIRAIDAI himself appearing alongside them with his ukulele. Beyond the screen, the collaboration continues offline. A dedicated “Baby Shark” booth will appear at HIRAIDAI presents THE BEACH TRIP 2026, kicking off on May 4, with exclusive on-site campaigns planned for attendees.
