Aluna & Timbaland enlist rising producer Will Sass on House Boy

Rising New York producer Will Sass joins forces with Multi-award-winning artist Aluna and legendary hitmaker Timbaland on new single House Boy. The track arrives tomorrow 20th March via Aluna’s Noir Fever label in partnership with EMPIRE.

The track began during a studio session in Los Angeles, where Sass and Aluna first connected creatively. As the record took shape, Timbaland later joined the process, bringing his tonal instincts into a collaboration that bridges emerging and established voices across dance and pop music.

Produced by Will Sass, Aluna, Timbaland, multi Grammy winning producer Larrance Dopson, and HORICHH, House Boy builds around a pulsing house groove, with Aluna’s vocals gliding over Sass’s sleek production while Timbaland’s unmistakable rhythmic fingerprints add another layer of energy.

For Will Sass, House Boy arrives at a moment of rapid momentum. The New York-based producer has quickly begun carving out a reputation within global dance music, breaking through with a 3 week streak at No.1 on Billboard Dance Radio for Into The Blue and generating more than 4.5 million streams within the first six months of launching his artist project. His recent releases, including collaborations with Kamille, Piri & Tommy and other emerging voices across the dance and pop worlds, have positioned Sass as a producer capable of bridging club music with wider pop sensibilities. Working with artists like Aluna and Timbaland now places him alongside two figures whose influence has helped shape generations of pop and dance music.

Aluna first rose to international prominence as one half of AlunaGeorge, the genre-blurring duo whose sound helped shape UK electronic pop throughout the 2010s. In recent years she has expanded her work as a solo artist, DJ and cultural voice within global dance music. In 2023 she launched Noir Fever in partnership with EMPIRE, a label and creative platform dedicated to celebrating Black dance music and centering Black women and LGBTQ+ artists within the global club landscape.

The label grew out of Aluna’s widely discussed open letter to the dance industry calling for greater recognition of the Black artists and communities who shaped the genre. Through Noir Fever, she has begun building a platform that connects music, culture and nightlife, bringing together emerging artists, producers and collaborators across the global dance ecosystem.
House Boy sits naturally within that vision. The track reflects the collaborative spirit behind the label’s mission, bringing together artists from different generations and scenes through a shared connection to the dancefloor.

The involvement of Timbaland adds another dimension to the collaboration. A multi Grammy Award-winning producer whose rhythmic innovations helped redefine modern pop and R&B, his influence spans decades of hits for artists including Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Beyoncé and more. Recently revisited by the club world through remixes of his classic records from Max Dean and Luke Dean, Timbaland’s own exploration of house music continues with House Boy, marking a rare meeting point between his signature production instincts and a new generation of electronic producers.
