PIKOTARO Shares “jinseimocchatte!”

Life is meant to be enjoyed. And now, PIKOTARO has set that motto to music.
Inspired by the words of children fighting illness, PIKOTARO’s new song “jinseimocchatte!” (“人生、盛っちゃって!”), which means “Live Life to the Fullest!”, is out now as part of the 10th anniversary Tottemo Release 80.8 project, Volume 7. The song channels the courage, joy and unstoppable spirit of kids who continue to shine even in the toughest of circumstances.

PIKOTARO, a longtime supporter of the pediatric cancer charity project LIVE EMPOWER CHILDREN (LEC) since its inception in 2020, met countless children through music and charity work. Their words, videos and messages became the spark for this heart-filled track.

On the meaning behind the song, PIKOTARO shares:

“Meeting kids fighting pediatric cancer and seeing miracles that almost aren’t miracles…the ups and downs, the victories and the struggles. I wanted to gather their voices into a song…so I made this with all my heart.

The words that stuck with me the most were, ‘Life is meant to be enjoyed!’

I decided: yes! Let’s go all out, make the most, live life fully! I even included other voices and messages throughout the song. It’s the best it’s ever been. Let’s live it up!”

In the music video, the upbeat, feel-good anthem pairs PIKOTARO’s signature playful style with a powerful message of positivity and perseverance.

Also included in Tottemo Release 80.8 (07) is the second chapter of PIKOTARO’s popular “Prefecture Songs” series, spotlighting the Kyushu–Okinawa region with tracks celebrating Fukuoka, Saga, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Oita, Kagoshima, and Okinawa.

With “jinseimocchatte!”, PIKOTARO turns inspiration into celebration, encouraging everyone to laugh, shout and live life to the fullest, just like the courageous children who inspired it.
