Experience “Haku ハク”: Atarayo blends high energy with AI-infused MV
Fast, relentless, and precise, “Haku ハク” sees Atarayo firing on all cylinders. The track transforms the tension of high-stakes gameplay into sound, setting the stage for a story propelled by challenge, intensity, and momentum.
“Haku” serves as the opening theme for the TV anime Hell Mode: The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing, which began airing on 9 January. An aggressive up-tempo number, the song mirrors the anime’s high-difficulty world, pairing speed and energy with razor-sharp control. Vocalist Hitomi’s crystalline voice cuts through the track, amplifying both its urgency and emotional depth.
Accompanying the release, Atarayo unveiled the official music video for “Haku”. The visuals plunge viewers into a game-like world, perfectly matching the song’s velocity with bold, graphic imagery. In a climactic twist, AI technology transforms ordinary, everyday scenes into something distinctly surreal.
Director Osela shared their thoughts on the concept behind the video:
“When I received the song and lyrics, I felt that a nightmare isn’t something given to us by others, but something like a hell created by another version of ourselves living inside us.
The fleeting moments of light or release that appear within that darkness aren’t about being saved by someone else, but about the instant when your own will becomes clear. With that idea in mind, I created this music video.
The dark, groove-heavy sound and the sense of release at the end resonate visually as well, and I would be happy if this work can, in its own small way, stand alongside the world of Suda-san’s music.”
Atarayo’s momentum continues to build beyond this release. In 2025, the band completed their second Asia tour, “Yume-gatari TOUR 2025,” spanning nine overseas cities and five cities across Japan. With sold-out shows piling up, their reach now extends well beyond domestic audiences, signaling growing international demand.
With “Haku”, Atarayo reasserts their identity: emotionally potent, technically precise, and unafraid of intensity. As their music continues to blur the line between the ordinary and the extraordinary, the band shows no sign of slowing down.
