California Steaks, located at the third level of SM City San Lazaro, is ready to indulge its Manileño customers with its inviting sun-shiny vibe topped with delectable dishes made to quench those meaty cravings led by its steaks and Cali Boodle that are just perfect for groups and families.

In my recent visit to SM City San Lazaro, I was delighted to see and experience this newest dining spot that shares a colorful, summer-y and inviting ambiance decorated with interesting neon signs and surfboards that spell nothing but fun and delight. California Steaks, a modern premium-comfort steakhouse that brings together bold West Coast flavors made more special through the warmth of Filipino hospitality, has opened its doors to satiate Manileños’ craving for American-style comfort food while keeping its price point at bay with neighboring restaurants in SM City San Lazaro.

Made to rediscover Manileño’s love for juicy and tender steaks and other American dishes and coolers, California Steaks takes pride in combining American and some Filipino favorites, making it a must-try foodies’ destination in Manila City.

Dig In, Dive In!
Whether you are looking for something light or something that will fill you up, California Steaks made its menu list is really interesting by combining all-time favorite American dishes and street bites together with comforting Filipino dishes that will suit your hunger.

One can start by having their Opening Acts – Coachella Butter Crisp and California Pounder Fries – that are both oozing with flavors and are set to ready your palette for an amazing taste bud festival. A perfect starter for a food adventure, these two starters both highlight the comfort food that we all deserve any time, any day.

For those who are coming with a group, their newest offering, the Cali Boodle, offers a plateful of their best-sellers with prices ranging from PHP1,899 to PHP2,299. Usually good for 4 to 5 pax, the Cali Boodle ranges from Cali-Style (Del mar Fish, Chips, Slow Roast Beef Belly, Golden State Fried Chicken and Sunset Glazed Pork Belly), Palm Grill (LA Steak Salpicao, Grilled Spiced Bird, Hollywood Pork Belly, and The Bay Salmon), and the Fil-Am (Sunrise Beef Tapa, Crispy Bay Bangus, Hollywood Pork Belly and Creamy Scrambled Eggs).

If you are looking for something comforting and familiar, you can never go wrong with their Fil-Am set. For a more balanced selection of meats, the Palm Grill offers an interesting set, making it one of my favorites. For an easier to enjoy and perfect for everyone, the Cali-Style will surely that satisfaction you want.

For the Main Scene, one should not miss having California Steaks' Prime Coast Ribeye USDA, which is a 10-oz ribeye that comes with steak rice, sides, and two sauces. If you want to elevate your experience more, why not try having their Ribeye Royale, which is a 20oz of oozing ribeye goodness, perfect for sharing and enjoying with family and friends.

Capping your feast with their cheesecake will definitely hit the right mark, as their version offers a satisfying way to end your palate adventure. Of course, to fully feel the Cali vibes, one should not miss trying California Steaks' Cali Sips that don’t just look good, they spell summer fun in colors and flavors! You can choose from their Best Iced Tea in the City, Pacific Strawberry Cooler, Sunset Sangria, Sunrise Mimosa, and Tropical Cooler.
