In a place where you thought you had seen, experienced, and even tasted almost everything, you’ll be surprised at how the Philippines’ Summer Capital continues to evolve and offer something new – a true testament to its sustainable approach that keeps inviting visitors time and time again.

In my recent visit to Baguio City, I not only experienced a new, vibrant accommodation that is suitable for individual and group travelers, but also combined modern and traditional, local and international influences, providing comfort and luxury at the same time.

Hello, Sotogrande Hotel Baguio!

Spread into four categories, Sotogrande Hotel Baguio’s hotel room has a Standard Double, Deluxe Queen, Deluxe Corner, and One-Bedroom Suite, all equipped with amenities that provide comfort and convenience to its guests. Along with its facilities such as Meeting Rooms, Swimming Pool, Kid’s Playroom, and Fitness Center, Sotogrande Hotel Baguio boasts with dining outlets that will surely hit your cravings with mouthwatering and pocket-friendly offerings.

Located at the lush area of Leonard Wood Road, which provides added convenience due to its proximity to various well-known establishments such as the Camp John Hay, Teacher Camp, Burnham Park, The Mansion, Baguio Cathedral and the likes, Sotogrande Hotel Baguio is also situated at the quiet and peaceful area offering a lush mountain view in some of its rooms.

During my visit, I was fortunate to stay at their Standard Deluxe Room, which comes with an air conditioning system (just in case Baguio isn’t cold enough for you), two double beds, a television, a private toilet and bath, a cabinet, and some tiny items that are made to add convenience in my stay. With a view that is so relaxing to see in the morning and in the evening, what I like in my room is the local touch that makes it more personal and brings that Baguio vibe altogether. From wood sculpture to weaving, the room was decorated with a minimalistic style to evoke a wonderful fusion and welcoming ambiance.

Other rooms that I got to check out also carry the same idea, only some are bigger in size and scope. One that stuck with my mind was their Deluxe Corner, which offers nice natural lighting and a spacious area perfect for couples or a small family of 3.

Meanwhile, for those who are after the amenities, I was surprised to finally be in a hotel Baguio with a swimming pool. Located right outside their main dining area, Brisa de Baguio, has their spacious veranda with a swimming pool that kids will surely enjoy. At night, they turn this open space into a dining area for an al fresco dining option and jamming nights. Aside from the pool, Sotogrande Hotel Baguio offers ample parking space with electric car charging slots for those who are arriving using an e-vehicle. AMAZING!
