Cloverdale Reveals Next Instalment of Hardware-Driven Channel 303
Fresh off the high-voltage launch of his Channel 303 project and the intro single 100k Watts, Canadian producer Cloverdale returns with the next installment: Nobody, a dark, bass-heavy collaboration with longtime friend and fellow Ottawa-native Return of the Jaded.
Out now, Nobody fuses the swing and shuffle of UK garage with the modern punch of bass house, sculpted with surgical precision but delivered with analog warmth. Anchored by rubbery low-end pressure, crisp rhythmic edits and a locked-in vocal hook, the track stands as a bold left-turn for both artists who are each known for their high-octane, genre-fluid approach to club music.
Originally sparked by a rough sketch from Return of the Jaded in Spring 2024, the track quickly evolved into something more experimental. While neither producer is traditionally linked to UKG, both are known for stepping outside convention: from Cloverdale’s recent pivot to hardware-based techno and breaks, to Return of the Jaded’s forays into drum and bass, the collaboration captures a shared love for dance music’s rawer, riskier edges.
Technically, Nobody fits squarely within the evolving narrative of Channel 303, a DIY, genre-resistant concept album and live AV experience that sees Cloverdale abandon CDJs for a fully integrated setup of synths, drum machines, and reactive visuals giving a darker, intimate character without sacrificing club utility.
Channel 303 is a project that’s part concept album, part live show, and entirely self-built. Inspired by late-night retro TV, early rave grit, and DIY punk ethics, the full experience blends vintage CRTs, holograms, Ableton Push performance, and custom After Effects visuals all driven by Cloverdale himself.
With Nobody, the story continues. And with more music and live activations on the horizon, Channel 303 is one of electronic music’s forward-thinking and tech-pushing projects of right now.
