Japanese Boyband FANTASTICS Announces ‘Sugar Blood Kiss’ Single

The anime series ‘Vampire Dormitory’ began broadcasting on Sunday, April 7, 2024 on Japanese TV stations such as TOKYO MX and Nippon TV.

The new anime adaptation marks 70 years of ‘Nakayoshi’ magazine, along with 20 years since the debut of manga artist Ema Toyama, who created the original manga series – which follows the hair-raising daily dorm life of a crossdressing girl and a loyal vampire.

‘Sugar Blood Kiss’ is based on the new jack swing genre, with a sprinkling of sweet words, creating a sound that echoes the vibe of ‘Vampire Dormitory’.

Fun fact: The lyrics include the word “kiss” more times than any other song in FANTASTICS’ history.
 
What’s more, the illustration on the cover was created by Toyama herself, depicting the members of FANTASTICS in her own unmistakable style.

FANTASTICS are a dance and vocal group who have inherited the philosophy and belief system of the wider EXILE group to which they belong.

The six dancers are group leader Sekai, Taiki Sato, Natsuki Sawamoto, Leiya Seguchi, Natsuki Hori and Keito Kimura.

They are joined by vocalists Yusei Yagi and Sota Nakajima, both of whom were selected from
the EXILE Presents VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 5 ~Yume wo Motta Wakamono-tachi e~ audition contest.

Currently in the midst of a domestic tour titled FANTASTICS LIVE TOUR 2024 ‘INTERSTELLATIC FANTASTIC’, this dance and vocal group are steadily growing as individuals and as a group, reaching for ever higher heights.
