'Wag Toxic: MLBB Philippines Advocates Healthy Gaming Among Students Through Community Cup
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines, in
partnership with Xiaomi Philippines has wrapped up its campus visits in
National University - Laguna and Technological Institute of the Philippines -
Quezon City which aimed at promoting healthy gaming, team work, and
belongingness among students through a series of MLBB-themed activities.
Students from National University -
Laguna took part in the interactive activities to hone their creativity and
teamwork.
The interactive activities include word
games, raffles, and a career talk led by international gaming publisher and
developer MOONTON Games that discussed the opportunities students can seize in
the esports and gaming industry.
"Having a passion for MLBB can help
you land a job, no matter what your college degree is. We've worked with a lot
of marketers, social media moderators, broadcast managers, logistics managers,
talent handlers, and operations managers who play an important role in mounting
a successful campaign," MOONTON Games - Philippines Human Resource Head
Stephen Mabasa shared.
Diploma o Diskarte: Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City students attended a career talk led by MOONTON Games which also focused on fostering a healthy gaming community.
Moreover, the conference also shared ways
to have a healthier gaming environment for the community, emphasizing that
trashtalking, cheating, and discrimination are not taken lightly by the
publisher.
“Toxicity
in gaming encompasses a range of negative behaviors that can contribute to a
hostile and unwelcoming environment. As gamers, we need to recognize these
behaviors as it is crucial for fostering a healthier community," Mabasa
added.
MLBB
has been implementing measures both within and beyond the game to ensure a
healthy gaming environment and foster an atmosphere where players can enjoy
their gaming experience. This includes the in-game reporting mechanics,
moderation and enforcement, and community building initiatives such as this
event.
Meanwhile, the MLBB Community Cup Grand
Finals day for the friendly MLBB tournament in SM City Manila was held today, 8
February 2024.
MKHR E-sports took the biggest share of the
prize pool worth 50,000 in-game diamonds and a brand new Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.
The first runner-ups,
namely NUAG Mystic (National University - Laguna) took home a Redmi Buds 4 Pro
and City Sling Bags, while teams Kahit Ano Nalang Pre team and Dignidad took
home Xiaomi Smartband 8.
