While it’s exciting to go around and travel the country, or the world, on a busy season like the Lunar New Year, it is also a good idea to stay in the metro and enjoy the luxury and convenience the city shares while everyone is on holiday!

Last February 9 to 11, as the country enjoyed the long weekend due to the Lunar New Year celebration, I found myself sipping a refreshing cucumber juice at the Glass House of Lime Resort Manila. Along with some media friends and staff of the hotel, we enjoyed an afternoon of discussion about the offerings of this hotel. Nestled at the premier Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Complex in Pasay City, this property offers a convenient relaxation topped with amenities perfect for everyone. Offering a stunning view of the metro, the Lime Resort Manila shares a vibrant appeal to anyone who is up for a quick getaway from the busy metropolis.

Since it was a long weekend, I eagerly packed my back for a 3-day, 2-night stay that started that afternoon. Though my expectations weren’t that high given I’m usually in the area because of work, I found peace and serenity coupled with astonishment as to what Lime Resort Manila has to offer.

Five Things I Love about Lime Resort Manila

I was very curious as to why they used the name “resort” for this establishment given that it’s in the Metro. As vibrant as a resort that you’ll experience on a beach holiday, Lime Resort Manila delighted me with something that would make me come back for more.

1. Spacious Room

I was impressed by how big and vibrant their rooms were. From Standard Twin, Deluxe Room, Executive King Bayview, Family Quad, Junior King Suite, and Premier King Bayview Suite, these rooms offer equally relaxing stays with in-room amenities that will make your stay more enjoyable and relaxing. I was booked in a Premier King Bayview Suite, which offers a relaxing view of Manila that shares a lovely sunset in the afternoon. The rooms come with a king-size bed, a large TV, and a larger bathroom with a bathtub. I love how they make almost everything “smart” – meaning smart control on TV, curtains, and light. There’s a tablet inside the room, which serves as a remote to access all of the mentioned things in the room.

For those who wanna delve into a more private and luxurious stay, their Premier King Bayview Pool Suite, Sky Suite, and Sky Villa offer private pools that you and your family can enjoy. When I was there, I saw a private gathering being held in one of the rooms, so yeah, you can celebrate something there while having the beautiful sunset as your backdrop.

2. Dining Options

A major item whenever I stay in a hotel or resort is the food. Here at Lime Resort Manila, you’ll never get hungry as they offer great options such as buffet dining at their Bayside Buffet, offering dishes from various parts of the world. Then, they also have the Sky Lounge Bar, which is a good spot for some romantic dinner with your special someone, same with Sky Deck and Blue House, which is located on the top floor overseeing the bay area. During weekends, guests can enjoy a dinner with live bands such as Lime Resort Club Manila which hosts local acts to play music while enjoying the sumptuous dinner.

3. Entertainment

Adding a vibe to that “resort” feel while in the city, Lime Resort Manila hosts live bands during weekends and special holidays to give their guests some more reasons to enjoy their stay. Usually tied up with a dinner buffet, Lime Resort Manila presents some local acts that add more fun to the resort’s atmosphere. During my stay, I got to witness The Bloomfields, which popularized some local hits, then there were some fire dancers, dragon and lion dancers, and well as a DJ who brought the day to a new high. The entertainment was coupled with Lime Resort Manila’s Lunar New Year’s feast that delighted not only our eyes but also our tummies.

4. Amenities

For those who are coming in with their families and friends, Lime Resort Manila boasts some amenities that will make your stay more colorful. Topping my list was their infinity pool which is located on the top floor of the establishment. A perfect retreat from the busy metropolis, Lime Resort Manila’s pool area is a perfect spot to relax or have fun with your family and friends. A busy nook during sunset sessions, on some days, the deck area also offers a sunset session, where guests can enjoy an afternoon of rave music over some cocktails and snacks.

For those who are planning to host big events, they have spacious function rooms that share elegant setups that are perfect for both corporate and social events. For further relaxation, Lime Resort Manila has a spa as well as a gym that is made to relieve your stress.

5. Proximity to Many Areas

Since it is located within the CCP Complex, Lime Resort Manila offers great access to various areas including amusement parks such as the Star City and SM By the Bay, malls and parks such as SM Mall of Asia and Rizal Park, as well as other entertainment venues namely the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Solaire, City of Dream, Okada and PICC.

For those who are coming from other parts of the country, or the world, Lime Resort Manila is also close to the international airport and seaport, giving you much more access and connection to the things you want to do.

I honestly couldn’t help but get excited as to what other things we should watch out for here in Manila. Along with the innovation that we’re experiencing, there are so many things to enjoy in the metro that give us that luxury of time and peace that we don’t have to spend on the road. The addition of Lime Resort Manila gives us much more reason to enjoy the city regardless of the day in the month. With its good value for money, this place is something that we can all call home.
