Each of the main characters are unique and interesting. Jun Jong-seo described her character Na A-jung as “a great actress who hasn’t been able to meet the right project yet. She’s unknown but talented.” Moon Sang-min talked about his character Lee Ji-han saying, “He is like a retriever [dog breed].” He has an ambition to make his older brother the successor of the family conglomerate.” Kim Do-wan shared some hints about his character Lee Do-han saying, “A-jung is the only one who knows my character’s secret. She’s a very loyal and cool friend.” Bae Yoon-kyung introduced her character Yoon Chae-won as someone who “is successful in everything except for romance. She was married but got divorced and is experiencing one-sided love.”

Whether you prefer traditional K-drama tropes or more modern storylines, Wedding Impossible is a win-win because it blends traditional rom-com feels with more modern and unique K-drama flavors. There’ll be some moments that will remind us of scenes from classic K-drama rom-coms from the 2000s, but the story won’t feel outdated and will be relatable to modern-day issues. For example, while it’s typical for the mother-in-law to be the one opposed to a union, in this case it’s the brother-in-law who tries to sabotage their nuptials. Kwon Young-il commented, “The relationship between the two is unique, so I think the series will be a different type of rom-com.” While various differences will set Wedding Impossible apart from other rom-coms, there will be some traditional rom-com moments to look forward to as well. Jun Jong-seo added, “There are a lot of genre romances these days. I think this one will give off a scent reminiscent of traditional dramas from the past.”
4. Great Chemistry

When there’s great chemistry amongst the cast off-screen, that truly translates on-screen. Viewers can look forward to the actors’ close relationships portrayed through the series as well as behind-the-scenes. Jun Jong-seo shared, “It was so much fun and I was so happy. I think everyone will be able to pick our set as the best and happiest set they’ve worked on. Even now, we contact each other daily even when we’re not talking about work. We’ve become so close and I think the drama will show this.” Bae Yoon-kyung also talked about previously working with director Kwon Young-il on the series My Unfamiliar Family and how nice it was to work together again.
5. Fun & Healing

In addition to the fun aspects of the series, there is a healing message that will resonate with audiences. Kwon Young-il commented, “We live our lives by sometimes lying, controlling our facial expressions, and hiding our emotions. Each of the characters, due to their own reasons, live their lives while acting to a certain extent. These characters meet each other, communicate, and start to find themselves in the process.” Jun Jong-seo added, “I think these are all characters you can see around you in your daily life. I think as you watch the drama, you will cheer on each of the characters. It’s a fun and healing drama. Our chemistry is entertaining too.”
