Spence Lee Drops New Single / Music Video “Spend My Days”
88rising and
Ear Drummers artist, Spence Lee releases his
next single, “Spend My Days,” today, off his forthcoming album. The
song’s captivating romance and undeniable R&B influence intertwine to
create a smooth and easy listening experience.
“Spend my days is a soulful song about wanting to be with the person I
love, through all the good and bad days.”
Spence explains.
The music video, directed by M edet, known for collaborations with artists like Kali Uchis, Lil TJay, and Rae Sremmurd, showcases Spence time-traveling through various eras and regions, including the western cowboy era, the 80s, the 40s, and the modern era. “I had this idea of showing true love transcending time and space, where a couple is shown in different realities and timelines but they always end up together and staying fly. Medet was able to take this ambitious idea and mesh it together seamlessly, despite all the contrasting looks and locations,” says Spence. In a nod to Spence’s design and fashion background, Spence partnered with Microsoft’s Bing Image Creator on the custom bandana design seen in the video.
“I took a liking to Spence because he stands for what he believes in, and that’s an important trait for an artist in my opinion besides being talented enough to make a song. I have been his corner coach for a few years now helping develop him as an artist organically, letting him grow into being the natural born leader he is.” Mike Will Made It recalls on his first impressions of Spence.
Spence recently performed at the inaugural Head In The Clouds (HITC) New York City in May and HITC Los Angeles in August. As a recent signee with 88rising and Mike WiLL Made-It’s Ear Drummer Records, Spence is looking towards bright horizons. Spence passionately explores a multitude of artistic mediums, from fashion to music, worldwide. He graced the stage at the inaugural Head in the Clouds events in Jakarta and Manila in December 2022 and has a forthcoming album slated for early 2024.
