Jungle Releases Euphoric New Track "I've Been In Love"; New Album 'Volcano' Out 11 Aug

Jungle today share another taste of their upcoming album ‘Volcano’ with new track "I've Been In Love", which features Channel Tres ("Topdown", "Controller"). It follows a big reaction to the British production duo’s recent singles "Candle Flame" (featuring Erik The Architect) and "Dominoes".

Having found a kindred spirit in the shape of the similarly adventurous self-described Compton house artist Channel Tres, "I’ve Been In Love" captures Jungle’s euphoric vibe in all the best ways, whipping up a sleek mix of funk, disco, soul and hip-hop. It’s completed by Channel Tres’s vocal, which flows seemingly effortlessly from the baritone of his half-spoken laidback rhymes to brighter melodic moments before the radiant hook kicks in.

The accompanying visual opens with a tongue-in-cheek introduction before unveiling a more intimate one-room take on the ambitious single-shot choreography that Jungle’s videos are renowned for. It’s unmistakably the creation of directors J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido of Contentus Maximus.

The ‘VOLCANO’ album will represent a leap forward for Jungle. Not only embracing their position in the music community by drawing upon their broadest array of featured collaborators to date, but their innovative production expertise means that almost every single note you hear on the album is entirely original - it features just one sample. The result is an inspiring, life-affirming experience that will provide communal joy on the dancefloor as well as personal escapism through headphones.

Jungle are lifelong friends from Shepherd’s Bush, London. Their self-titled breakthrough debut album became an instant classic, leading to a Mercury Prize nomination, which they followed with the album ‘For Ever’ before amplifying their success with ‘Loving In Stereo’ – all contributing to a total of over a billion streams to date and received widespread acclaim and support across Asia, with top radio stations and tastemakers such as Prambors (ID), MTV Asia, Clockenflap (HK), LINE Today Indonesia, Sepsakon (TH) and more.

Their extended live band has made them firm festival favourites, drawing huge crowds at Coachella and Lollapalooza Brazil, while headline shows have included Alexandra Palace and multiple nights at the O2 Academy Brixton. Their visionary stylised and choreographed videos are also a major aspect of Jungle’s artistic identity, most notably with the ambitious visual narrative that spanned every track on ‘Loving In Stereo’.
