Preston Pablo Releases Summer Single and Music Video “For Keeps”

Today, triple platinum, JUNO Award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter, Preston Pablo releases a new single and music video for “For Keeps” via 31 East/ Republic Records/ Universal Music Canada.

On the heels of his 3x platinum certified and top 5 Top 40/Hot AC charting single and bringing home the 2023 JUNO Breakthrough Artist of the Year award, Preston Pablo is showing no signs of slowing down after his hit single “Flowers Need Rain”.

The new release "For Keeps" is just as energetic as his previous track “AY AY AY”, which accumulated tremendous support from various streaming platforms across Asia. It debuted on Spotify’s New Music Friday across different countries in the region, entered Apple Music’s Breaking Pop playlist, and was added to numerous KKBOX playlists, while also being picked up by radio stations across Indonesia.

“This song is about shooting your shot,” says Pablo. “Even after you’ve been constantly missing. It’s a very lighthearted and playful take on a classic love story. When someone is playing hard to get it typically makes the one who’s chasing work a little harder to get what they want. That’s the motive behind this record.”

This new song follows his most recent award-winning achievement at this year’s 2023 JUNO  Awards taking home the win in the Breakthrough Artist of The Year category. He took the stage at the broadcast and performed “Flowers Need Rain” on stage with fellow 31 East talent, Banx  & Ranx and Rêve.

With his honest lyrics and an R&B melody, the emerging artist released, “Love You Bad”, closing  2022 by showcasing his ability to cross genres. Last year was a banner year for Preston, with the rising chart success of his major label debut “Flowers Need Rain” with multi-platinum producer songwriters Banx & Ranx. The triple platinum-selling single currently has over 79M global streams🌎and has reached the #1 spot at Mainstream AC in Canada and has been holding strong in the top five at radio across Mainstream AC, Hot AC, and Top 40 since October 2022. “Flowers  Need Rain” was the #1 most Shazamed track in Canada, achieved multiple global Viral Top 50  Spotify playlist adds (such as Germany, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and more), won the SOCAN most popular Anglophone song of the year, and has over 200 million audience impressions at Canadian Radio.

Apart from Canada, Preston now has been steadily growing his fanbase in Asia – India and Indonesia are now in his top 10 streaming markets worldwide. With his unique blend of musical versatility, Pablo has captivated millions of listeners worldwide, which has propelled him to be one of the up-and-coming artists to watch.
