Hyperpop Breakout Artist rouri404 Debuts EP 'chlorine' Today

Bridging nostalgic 2000s emo with futuristic hyperpop melodies, rouri404 has perfected a genreless blend that defies the ordinary. His inimitable sound was what attracted Red Bull Records, today announcing his signing and debut EP release on the label, 'chlorine'.

Spanning three tracks including the new single “numb,” rouri’s raw talent at just 21-years old shines through the package in his punchy lyricism and potent vocal delivery. From “motion sick” to the fan favorite “fisheye,” he’s taken influences from DIY rap stylings and infused his own brand of pop-punk to produce a gritty yet meticulously crafted offering. 

rouri404 shares, “I think having fun is the most important part of creating music and ‘chlorine’ reminded me of that over the past year. Going into this EP I wanted to focus heavily on the energy of the tracks and make sure they have huge high moments that seamlessly come back down to a super personal almost nostalgic melancholic feeling. We took a lot of inspiration from early 2000s pop-punk & emo and really just my overall childhood, trying to capture that raw energy and emotion of being a kid who doesn’t know what to do in life.”

With ‘chlorine’, the artist is looking to make his mark in Asia and is open to interview opportunities. He hopes to connect with fans who share his passion for music and his goal to push the limits of genres.
