Home Credit Philippines Celebrates 10 Years of Being Filipinos' Top Financial Partner
Amidst
the continuous growth of digitalization in the country, we are still facing that
lingering threat of financial illiteracy to many adult Filipinos causing an
alarm to many institutions in the country. This is despite the growing popularity
of social media as well as online commerce, bank and entertainment.
In
the recent global study published by S&P Global, the Philippines is at the
bottom 30 of 144 countries surveyed on financial literacy. This is equivalent to
only 25% of adult Filipinos who are knowledgeable on basic financial concepts
according to The World Bank.
These
alarming issues pushed Home Credit, a leading consumer finance company, to
reach the Philippines and provide not just unique products and services that
can support lives, but also learning and technology that can empower Filipinos
in the future.
“Our goal of a
financially empowered Philippines comes true every year, one customer at a
time. In our 10 years of service in the country, we aim to empower 10 million
customers within 2023 and continue to serve more Filipinos in the years to
come. More than delivering innovative and accessible financial services, we
celebrate the relationships we have built with our stakeholders and customers
over the past decade, and this we choose to continue above and beyond,” shared David Minol, Chief Executive Officer of Home Credit
Philippines.
