TSHA Teams Up With GRAMMY-Winning Oumou Sangaré on "Water"
Hot on the heels of "Giving Up (feat. Mafro)", which landed TSHA the cover of Apple Music’s flagship DanceXL playlist and press support from Asia like Mixmag Asia, Media Indonesia, LINE Today Indonesia and more, TSHA shares another certified summer heater titled "Water".
Diving into Afro-house production, the irresistible track features vocals from a true icon of Malian folk music – Oumou Sangaré – an internationally renowned and GRAMMY-winning singer, composer, business pioneer and activist who champions women’s rights in her native Mali and throughout Africa.
Fittingly, it was the music of Oumou Sangaré (who featured on Beyoncé’s 2019 soundtrack album 'The Lion King: The Gift') that sparked TSHA’s initial interest in Malian griot music and led to her discovering another highly respected group Trio Da Kali, who featured on "Demba" on TSHA’s 2020 EP 'Flowers'.
Recorded over the past two years, TSHA’s long-awaited debut album 'Capricorn Sun' delivers 12 tracks that perfectly encapsulate the emotive blend of underground electronic and hook-laden pop sensibilities that have led to her being one of the most talked about new artists in recent years. From fronting high-profile magazines, appearing on numerous billboards across London & New York, being included in flagship playlists across multiple streaming services and being placed on countless ‘Best of’ & ‘One To Watch’ lists, alongside high-praise from across the music press and radio – TSHA shows no sign of slowing down in 2022.
