San Holo Unveils 'Bb U Ok? Deluxe' Album Featuring LP Giobbi, Elohim, Chet Porter and More

San Holo releases 'bb u ok? Deluxe', expanding on the emotionally euphoric original from last year's release. The album is jam-packed with remixes including LP Giobbi’s delightful disco edit of title track "bb u ok?" and Elohim’s grandiose rework of "find your way". Additional remixes come from Chet Porter, Nils Hoffmann, and members of the bitbird community Tsu Nami, Sam Day, Laxcity, Skygate, Darby, Hundaes, and kittito. Alongside the release of the deluxe album is a brand new San Holo original track "i don't feel anything anymore".

Speaking on the new track, San Holo shares: “For the 'bb u ok? Deluxe' album I decided to add a very personal original song to the tracklist. The song ‘i don’t feel anything anymore’ is so emotional to me, I was hesitant to release it for a while, but I feel like I’m finally ready to share it with the world.

I wrote this song after I found out someone I had been very close with lied to my face, multiple times. This situation broke my heart and left me feeling very numb; i didn’t feel anything anymore. At first, I tried to suppress all the anger and sadness I felt inside, but at the end of the song those feelings finally came out, almost like an explosion of emotions.

I used a lot of acoustic guitars blended with electronic sounds on this record. Something about acoustic guitars just feels very intimate, very close and direct. That’s what I wanted this song to feel like; Very honest, to contrast all the dishonesty I dealt with in that relationship. The vocal take was done in one take, there’s some rough edges here and there but it felt good leaving those in. Long story short it’s a very honest and raw record, which is why I was a little self conscious about it first. Now a year later, I’m finally ready.”
