Amiya Raya Shares Traditional Fun and Enjoyment with Kite Show at the Top

Now that we are allowed t explore and enjoy the outdoors again, some of us are excitedly preparing ourselves to see and experience again the different beautiful tourist destinations in the country. Together with the Kite Association of the Philippines, Amiya Raya treated its resident and future homeowners to an afternoon of fun and bonding as they present “Kite Show at the Top” last Sunday, May 22nd, at Amiya Raya, San Mateo, Rizal.

“As we are all excitedly waiting for our homeowners to have their new home built in this thriving community up in the mountains of San Mateo, Rizal, we want to make them feel at home already with these exciting activities that they can enjoy once they transfer with their families here at Amiya Raya. We’re looking forward to having more memorable bonding time with them along with their families as we enjoy this beautiful community here in the mountains of Rizal overlooking the metropolis,” said Ms. Arlene Jacosalem, Vice President for Marketing of Community Creators Inc., the owner, and developer of Amiya Raya.

Staying true to its slogan “Life is more beautiful at the top”, Amiya Raya invited professional kite flyers from the Kite Association of the Philippines to teach young kids how to enjoy the outdoors traditionally. Aside from kite flying, kids and kids at heart get to enjoy some techniques and ways how to fly kites through the guidance of Mr. Orlando Ongkiko, President and Founder of the Kite Flying Association of the Philippines.

“Kite flying is definitely of those exciting and memorable outdoor activities that kids could enjoy now that we are all allowed to go out and play. Through kite flying, kids can learn some new ways of enjoying their childhood, just like I was, and create wonderful bonding time with their families. Amiya Raya has a perfect place for this kind of event since it's located at the top of the mountain where the air can freely move and help kites fly up faster,” Mr. Ongkiko shared.

The Kite Show also awarded some individuals who were very sport in playing the traditional game. Young kids received a cash prize for their efforts flying their kites fast and staying long in the sky despite the unprecedented change of wind conditions that soon brought rain to the community.

“We’re hoping that everyone gets to enjoy this activity, which we hope inspired them to further pursue kite flying. We know that most kids now prefer playing through their gadgets, that’s why here in Amiya Raya are promoting a happy and active lifestyle as we pushed for further development of the community,” Ms. Jacosalem added.
