Darren Espanto releases new Christmas Single “Believe in Christmas”
If there’s one thing that the pandemic lockdowns has done well to us, we learned or relive skills that help us sane and coping with the new normal. In the case of Darren Espanto, after eight months of being in quarantine in Canada with his family, he was able to come up with a heartwarming Christmas song entitled “Believe in Christmas” that will surely add warmth and wonders to our Yuletide cheers.
“This year’s Christmas is different from the other Christmases that we had, and I hope that with this new song, people will be reminded of how wonderful this time is and how we should be grateful despite of the pandemic and typhoons that we’re facing,” Darren shared.

Believe in Christmas is composed by songmaker Tiny Corpuz, while the music video, which is set to premier in Youtube this week is co-directed by Darren himself with the help of Universal Music Group. The wonderful music video was shot in Canada, where Darren is staying with his family, and features some astonishing landscape of the country as well as some Filipino-themed shots where his Pinoys fans can relate.
“Believe in Christmas” was conceptualized based from the issues surrounding humanity now, and sharing that there’s a silver lining awaiting for everyone.
I was able to acquire a copy of the lyrics, which I hope will aid you as you sing along with this new wonderful Christmas song:
"Believe In Christmas"
We've all been hiding
Time stopped turning
And thought we couldn't stand
All the loosing
And the hurting
We all needed a hand
But we've been to
Dark places before
And when love shines through
There's always something more
A new season
A new reason
A spark of hope and joy to believe in
Never ending
Of new beginnings
A little bit of love, a little bit of love to believe in
You gotta believe, just believe in Christmas
Love you better believe just believe in Christmas you better do
Find the light and the dark ends
Set fire to you heart and
Let love do the talking
Everything will be shining
With love just like a home
And strength to carry on
To better days to better ways
I know we'll make it
Yeah, we've been through
Darker places before
And when love shines through
There's always something more
A new season
A new reason
A spark of hope and joy to believe in
Never-ending
New beginnings
A little bit of love, a little bit of love to help the believe in
You gotta believe, just believe in Christmas
Love you better believe just believe in Christmas you better do
A new season
A new reason
A spark of hope and joy to believe in
Never-ending
New beginnings
A little bit of love, a little bit of love to help the believe in
You gotta believe, just believe in Christmas
Love you better believe just believe in Christmas you better do
Christmas love will always be inside of you and me
A new season
A new reason
A spark of hope and joy to believe in
Never-ending
New beginnings
A little bit of love, a little bit of love to help the believe in
You gotta believe, just believe in Christmas
Love you better believe just believe in Christmas you better do
“This year, there’s no other way to celebrate
Christmas but to be grateful for the simple things that life has to offer amid
trying, challenging times,” Darren Espanto shares in a statement. “More than
ever, this gives us a chance to strengthen our faith and love for one another,
and protect the family and loved ones whose lives matter more than anything
else in this world. This Christmas is different from what we’ve been accustomed
to for sure, but I’m positive that we’ll emerge stronger, better individuals
after this crisis unfolds. For as long as we have each other, no grueling
situation can hold us down.” Darren concluded.
Enjoy and advance, safe and happy Christmas, everyone!
