Affordable and Durable ASUS Laptops at Shopee!

Wether you are looking for a laptop that you can use for online schooling or work-from-home setup, I bet most of your friends, like I do, will recommend the brand ASUS. Given its durability and good-value-for-money, ASUS laptops are really made for its users, no wonder from techie friends to hard-working mom, this brand is the first on the list!

I have two nieces that are having problems with the issues of a possible online classes this year, that's why their favorite Tito Alex came to the rescue and promised to buy them their own laptop for their schooling. For this emergency expenses, I set three rules - (1) Must be within my Budget, (2) Durable since there'll be two of them who will use it, (3) Stylish because duh? Why not?

Upon browsing online, I was brought to ASUS Philippines' online shop in Shopee, where they sell their latest line of gaming and personal laptops, which ranges from ROG to Zenbook. I must admit that I had a great experience with ASUS when I reviewed their ASUS Zenbook 14 so without further ado, please help me pick which one should I gift to my nieces.

1. Asus X407UA-BV110T I3 Star Gray - PHP26,995

So far, the most affordable item that I found in ASUS Philippines' Shopee Store is this Asus X407UA-BV110T I3 Star Gray. Powered by Intel Core i3 7100u, this 14-inch laptop has 4GB DDR4, 1TB HDD and already comes with Intel HD, Windows 10, and weighs only 1.5kg.

2. ASUS X407UF-BV051T I3 MX130 Grey - PHP28,995

Another option that I found in ASUS Philippines' Shopee Store is this ASUS X407UF-BV051T I3 MX130 Grey, which also comes in color Gold. For just Php2,000-higher, this unit 4GB DDR4 2400MHz SDRAM, 1 x SO-DIMM socket, upgradeable up to 8 GB SDRAM and 1TB 5400 rpm SATA HDD. This unit is also powered by Intel® Core™ i3 8130U (4 M Cache, up to 3.4 GHz) Processor and comes with Windows 10 Home. Just like the first one, this unit weighs 1.5 kg as well including its battery.

3. ASUS X542UF - PHP38,995

Now, this last one, though a little pricey offers 15 inches of display, as it runs on  Intel® Core™ i5 7200U Processor, with memory of DDR4 2133MHz SDRAM, 2 x SO-DIMM socket , and can be upgraded up to 16 GB SDRAM and a storage of 1TB 5400RPM SATA HDD. One turn down for me about this is its Dual Core processor core type.

So, to parents our there, how are you coping with this "new normal" for your children? For us, as much as we want to keep them safe, I think if the government pushes for the online class to go on, then we should somehow help our kids to cope with this changing ways. I just hope that all kids will still have the opportunity to learn and grow and that they'll all be equipped with things that they might need for this new norms.
