Denny’s Opens at Robinsons Place Manila

The coming Holidays may mean the Season of Food and everything in between. And for those who are accustomed to comforting and heart-warming home-cooked meals, I bet there's really nothing that can match your Mom or your Grandma's cooking. But for those who don't have time to cook and doesn't really know anything about kitchen, well, Denny's America's Diner just recently opened it's newest branch in the Metro to offer guaranteed and signature comfy dishes to ass delight to this season.

Last week, I was one of the lucky few first customers of Denny's newest branch in Robinsons Place Manila. Located at the ground floor, just before you enter the main entrance in Midtown Wing, Denny's is a sight and a site to behold if you are looking for nice place to devour comforting Filipino and American dishes.

With its inviting and Instagrammable ambiance, which captures that Denny's international brand and Filipinos homey, comfort aesthetic, one can start off their comfort food adventure through Denny's selection of meals fit anytime of the day - hey, that's what makes a 24/7 diner like Denny's so amazing, right? From breakfast anytime to satisfying lunches and dinners, if you're in the mood for it, chances are, you'll coming back for more!

Denny's was brought in the Philippines by the well-establish The Bistro Group, who has a collection of international hospitality casual dining brands and homegrown concepts. Since 2016, Denny's has been providing comfort to metro dwellers, primarily in BGC, Taguig, which is also the first branch of Denny's in Southeast Asia, as well as in Quezon City, Laguna and Cebu.

For starters, Denny's take pride of their Waffles. They have a huge selection on their menu, may it be for breakfast, snacks of dessert - and everything is so fluffy and good! I mean, this should be on the top of your list whenever you visit this place!

Their waffle are usually good for sharing, just like their Zesty Nachos, which is drizzled with freshly made pico de gallo and sour cream.

Also good for sharing is their salads.  Take note that we only had the solo size of this Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, and to our surprise, two to three person can actually share with this as their side dish.

If you prefer something that's more comforting and warms your tummy, you can choose between Chicken Noodle Soup and Clam Chowder. I picked the latter as I really love thick, cream soups, and since this is an American diner, I believe that I can have it nice and good here. I wasn't disappointed. This one was really calming.

As for the main courses, well, there's the Norwegian Salmon that is set to hit your salmon craving. Light but super tasty and perfect for those are very watchful of their health.

But for those who are looking for a real Denny's treat, you should try their Cajun Shrimp Skillet. A Tex-Mex delight that won't really fire your up, but instead fill you up real good. Though, I must say that the serving size of this one isn't like the previous meals, and the amount of the shrimp was kinda disappointing for me. I hope they'd do something to this one.

On the contrary, I was surprised on how generous their Crispy Crunch Pork Belly. This is one of their must-try Filipino favorites next to Pork Adobo, Crispy Bangus Belly, Beef Tapa, Pork Chop and Eggs and Arroz Caldo.

The crunch on this pork belly was so great, I almost forget about the rice and the egg that came with it.
