Spread the Pledge, Save Life!
In partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), BPI Familly Saving Bank (BFSB), through BPI Bayan, its volunteerism arm, recently launched an advocacy achieving a safer driving and less deaths and injuries on the road through their Spread the Pledge Campaign.
Held at the 102 Paseo, BPI's newest business and loaning hub, the grand swear-in took place together with a number of BPI employees and business partners who wishes a safer road for the coming years. Targeting at least 500,000 motorists in Metro Manila, this Spread the Pledge Campaign is aiming to promote road safety and responsible driving among motorists and car owners.
The years 2011 to 2020 have been declared by the United Nations as the "Decade of Action on Road Safety", an advocacy to elevate awareness and action against the continuous increase in road deaths worldwide.
In the Philippines alone, studies show that at least two vehicles in a major highway get involved in a road crash every hour, while an average of 50 road crashes occur every day. BPI Family Savings Bank President Mr. Jose Teodoro Limcaoco who welcomed the guests and pledgeors to this gathering reminded everyone of this alarming increase of road crashes every year.

The vice president of Automobile Association Philippines and chair of Road Safety Committee Mr. Johnny Angeles also joined the swear-in together with the BPI Auto Loan's latest endorser Mr. Christopher Lao.
