Alba Restaurante Español: Home of Traditional Spanish cooking Now Open in Estancia at Capitol Commons

Estancia Mall at Capitol Commons in Pasig City is definitely one of my favorite malls in the metro. With its spacious hallways and well-curated dining, shopping and entertainment areas, I wouldn't be surprised why most of the families in the east prefers this mall among others now. But did you know that I love this place much more now that my favorite Spanish restaurant opens its latest and biggest branch here. HolaAlba Restaurante Español!

When friends ask me for a Spanish restaurant that I can recommend to them, Alba Restaurant is on top of my mind. Not only because of its high-quality of food services but it exudes so much love that you'll find comfortable and enjoyable at the same time.

I first encounter Alba Restaurant in its Prism Plaza branch in Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. It's cozy spot at the 4th level of TwoE-Com Center gives its place a perfect spot to enjoy a day of lunch or dinner inside its vibrant dining area.

It's buffet selection is a collection of Spanish's comforting and tasteful dishes including Spanish chorizos and cured meats, its Carnes: the stewed ox tongue, Lengua Sevillana; stewed ox tripe, Callos a la Madrilena; beef stew, Caldereta de Vaca  and its centerpiece Cochinillo Asado, oven-roasted suckling pig. One major thing to consider about Alba is the fact that they've somehow perfected preparing these Spanish dishes that Filipino families delightfully enjoy.

And when my family and I visited its newest branch and the second level of Estancia Mall, I wasn't surprised to see them all-smile and excited to try its dishes because I know that this is the kind of place that never disappoints.

Alba is famous for its authentic Paellas - something that I really adore from this place. And to Paella lovers like me, Alba made sure that we can indulge with their wide variety of Paeela such as the house specialty, Paella Valenciana that has everything on it - chicken, pork,  chorizo, seafood, and vegetables - as well as otehr popular choices including Paella Negra (with squid ink and shrimps), Paella Marinara (seafood),  Paella de Bacalao (dried salted cod fish and potatoes) and Paella de Verduras for those who prefer vegetables.

Just a little trivia: Did you know that Alba offers about 55 choices of tapas such as chorizos, jamon, gambas, champignon, Pamplona, mortadela, salchichon, mahi-mahi, and Pa amb tomaquet, among others. So, if you are big on these kind of Spanish treats, this is basically Tapa Heaven for us!

For those sweet tooth, Alba’s decadent desserts such as delectably fluffy meringue cake, Canonigo and another bestseller, Tarta de Santa Teresa, a cream-filled sponge cake with almonds and yema balls are the dishes that will complete your experience.

Alba offers lunch daily at all its branches and dinner buffet is available daily for Tomas Morato, Prism Plaza, MOA Complex and Estancia mall branches. Lunch buffet priced at PHP795 per head, while Dinner buffet is at PHP850. Discounted rates apply for kids 5 to 9 years old, while kids 4 years old and below are free of charge.
