Quality Family Time at Taal Vista Hotel

It’s beginning to look (and feel) a lot like Summer!

As much as I don’t want to sound like I’m celebrating, but with the heat that we are all feeling right now - and since I grew up and started realizing that December wasn’t as cool as before – I started treating summer as my new Christmas! How can you not? With all of my weekends for the next two months packed with out-of-town activities, this is the gift that I have been waiting for this year!

Kicking off this sizzling season, my family and I headed down south of Metro Manila to squeeze in a quick break from our busy schedules and have an astonishing pre-summer experience in the City of Tagaytay. All thanks to the wonderful and always captivating Taal Vista Hotel, our weekend escape was one of the best for this year, so far.

A Quick Trip around the Philippines
Driving all the way from Manila, nothing could be more pleasing than to be welcomed by such colorful and delectable dishes inspired by local and international cuisines. If you have read my previous blogs about Taal Vista Hotel, you’d know how I enjoy every single meal that they serve here. Whether in Veranda, Taza or in the Lobby Lounge, Taal Vista Hotel made each stay more memorable and comforting with their dishes that are made to warm our tummies and hearts.

On top of these splendid offerings, one can easily get a tour around the Philippines with their cultural show, which takes place during lunch and dinner every Saturday and during lunch every Sunday.

It’s my nieces first time to visit Taal Vista Hotel and to actually watch such an equally colorful and lovely performance. My youngest niece, Elaisha, who just turned 6 last January, was so amazed by the costumes that the young ladies wore during their performances. During Elaisha’s “Lingo ng Wika” celebration in school, we dressed her up in Ifugao costume, so when she saw the resemblance of her costume to some of the performers, her face lit up and got more interested to watch the whole show. Aside from that, her spirit lit up with the stunts that the performers displayed during their number. They are really, really great! One of the highlights of our dining experience here in Taal Vista Hotel.

Each stay at Taal Vista Hotel includes one buffet breakfast at their Veranda Restaurant. For lunch and dinner, Taal Vista Hotel can satiate your craving for a really good and comforting Filipino dish at their Veranda Restaurant, but if you want for classier dining experience and just want to dig your fangs into a tasty and mouthwatering steak, you must checkout Taza.

Rediscovering Wonderful Family Memories
Recently, Taal Vista Hotel launches their newly renovated Mountain Wing - one of the original structures of the hotel that has been serving one of the best views of Taal Lake and Volcano.

Composed of seven types of rooms – Ridge, Superior, Deluxe, Premier, One-bedroom Deluxe Suite, Taal Suite and Tagaytay Suite – the new Mountain Wing shares an exquisite and classy rooms complemented with modern amenities including free Wi-Fi access, toiletries, welcome drinks and treats.

We stayed at the Superior Room, which offers a glorious view of greenery. On top of this, we get to feel cozy and warm on the king-size bend and fluffy pillows that were served in the room. Then, there’s also the contemporary bathroom setting with both rain shower and hand-held shower heads, flat-screen TV, free Wi Fi, safety deposit box, flat iron with board and hair dryer.

What I love about our room is the refreshing teal color that gives a relaxing vibe to the whole room. Upholding its classy take, each room is designed with localized wall décor that gives a home-y, summer-y feel that just complete our mood that weekend.

The Mountain Wing is located closer to the pool, gym and Asmara Spa, which somehow completes that whole pre-summer trip that target that weekend.

This is the first time that my niece stay here in Taal Vista Hotel. This is her first time to experience a hotel this huge, so aside from the amenities provided to us, she enjoy walking and running around, most specially in the ridge area where the magnificent view of Taal, Batangas is visible.

Summer Happiness All The Way
And since we are schedule for a 3-day, 2-night stay, we wasted no time enjoying Taal Vista Hotel as well as the nearby Sky Ranch Tagaytay, which has a quick entry access from the hotel.

On our second day, which is Saturday, we spent our afternoon assisting our nieces in different rides in Sky Ranch. We pay our entrance fee at Taal Vista Hotel concierge. After payment, we were assisted to the theme park. We spent a good 4 hours there eating, taking photos and riding attractions – just being the kids that we love to do!

Good thing, the weather was very cooperative that weekend, so when the night falls, the cool air wrapped around us, which signaled us to go back to our comfy, lovely and warm hotel room.

Reminiscing all these again as I write this blog, I honestly can’t wait to go back to Taal Vista Hotel to enjoy all of these again – most especially now that summer is burning the city down.

Thank you, Taal Vista Hotel. See you again soon!
